This is a beautiful mountainside hotel in a fairly remote village. The manager was extremely friendly, greeting us enthusiastically with welcome cookies as we parked, although she speaks more English than she can easily comprehend. The Marina is not especially cheap at 70€ per night (two people, mid-April, no breakfast) but the very large and well appointed room with a balcony and a phenomenal panoramic view of valleys and mountains merits the price. One of the nicest rooms ever! The kitchenette includes a good refrigerator/freezer and 2-burner stove top but is not equipped for cooking, offering only one pot and no cooking utensils. I had to ask for a frying pan. A few other omissions of common amenities made me wonder if the management is new and inexperienced. No dish soap and sponge were present, making it very hard to clean up after cooking. I asked for those items shortly before we checked out and the manager cheerily insisted that was her job and we had no need to wash dishes. That's absolutely the first time I've ever been told it's okay to leave the kitchen dirty after cooking.. The mattresses on the two single beds were generally okay but one was noticeably lumpy. Anogeia is a very interesting and picturesque town with a rich past, some of it tragic. There are many historical signs interpreting past events. It's also a center for hand woven textiles, with older women working looms right in the shops. The shopping district is a friendly, pleasant environment. It seemed quite prosperous but one proprietor said the economy struggles because tourists come to Crete for the sea, not the mountains. It's a worthwhile town in which to tarry and explore.
Set in an area of 28 acres, this resort combines the fine facilities of a luxurious hotel with the authenticity of Cretan tradition and the wild beauty of the island.

The hotel is very close to Anogeia village and has a wonderful view towards the mountain Psiloreitis. There is a small lake with fish and ducks and a small farm with peacocks and baby goats that our kid really enjoyed watching.
The indoor pool was clean and relaxing. The room was quite spacious, and there was free parking right outside our door. The traditional cafe is a nice addition.

This place is beautiful, magical and feels like staying at Grandma's house! The room, with high wooden ceilings, is decorated intricately with beautiful weavings and embroidery wall hanging and pillows that were made by the owner, Poppi, as well as many fun antiques. Poppi's shop is downstairs where she sells some of her art. She is very warm and friendly, and if you speak English and not much Greek, her son speaks fluid English and is very helpful and easy to message. The location is so convenient, close to the town square and the bus, but also enough removed from the town square so that if you don't want to join in with all of the evening Cretan festivities you can get some quiet and good rest. Very clean, comfy bed, and the fan keeps it cool. Also, nice lighting options. Beautiful grape vine covered balcony and sunsets! It was hard to leave!

Cannot say enough good things about our stay. We only had 1 night but it was perfect. Off the grid get away with incredible hosts. No detail was forgotten. Meals were made with love and pride. We wish we could’ve spent more time here.

If you are coming for a short stay from anywhere seaside (...
If you are coming for a short stay from anywhere seaside (Chania, Rethymno, Iraklion), I'd recommend planning the trip to maximize your cultural experience. On the way, there are tons of historical places to see. Arkadi monastery, Melidoni and Sfendoni caves is just to name a few. We stayed in Delina to go to see night sky on the top of the mountain where the Skinakas observatory is located (15 km from hotel). Keep in mind that the road to the top is, to say the least, NOT for novice drivers, if you are going by car. But the views from there: almost whole Crete, Iraklion at night and clear dark sky with milky way visible with a naked eye.
This is a fantastic place to stay in Anogia. The host, Popi, is incredibly caring and warm, always making sure you have plenty to eat, offering to make a coffee, and checking in about how the stay is going. Also, she is a skilled weaver, and the apartment is full to the brim with handmade things that make you feel the care put into this place. The view from the balcony is spectacular, taking in both the sea and the ridge of Psiloritis. I really cannot recommend this place highly enough, thank you for a wonderful stay!
If you are looking for a place to stay in Anoja, I think Hotel Marina is your best choice. The rooms are charming, comfortable, spatious and offer a beautiful view on the mountains. The hotel is conveniently located close to the main street and square, where you can find anything you need (cafe’s/kafeneia, restaurants/taverna’s and small supermarkets and bakery’s). But most of all: Marina is a very kind and caring host!!
Delina mountain resort is one of the best places we have visit. The room was very big, comfortable and with a great view. There is a free swimming pool with hydromassage. The breakfast was also great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The tavern inside the hotel is fillef with cretan delicacies, music and good prices. Overall it was an amazing experience and we can't wait to go back in the winter.
A very nice hotel, located in a beautiful place with a view of Psiloritis. The staff was so nice and welcoming! There is a restaurant with great local food in the hotel and one night they had live music. Our son was so impressed that he almost forgot to eat, and we loved the music as well. We liked the breakfast and the big nice room, and I adore the cosmetics made with honey and olive.

This hotel is a perfect place to stay of you want to climb mount Psiloritis from the Nida Plateau. The food was really fresh, and I lined the view on the hills from the little chapel on the property. The staff was exceptionally friendly and my room was very spacious. In the night you can hear distant goat bells which males the mountain vibe perfect.
it was very clean, enough space, suitable for families, excellent hospitality with perfect swimming pool & spa complex. The location is perfect to visit amazing mountains and geopark on Crete!
We were impressed by the meals in the hotel restaurant. definitely recommend and come back in the future trip to Crete.
If you want stay in small, very local style, comfortable hotel, clean room/apartment with the friendliest hostess you can imagine - this is the place. (Thank you Popi for the fresh home made dolmades). Arriving on my precious bicycle I was immediately offered safe storage for my bicycle - very appreciated).
Staying at the hotel Delina and being taken care by their excellent staff provide you with tranquility and fulfillment. Excellent food and heated pool are extra experience that you should not miss too.
Wonderful view of the valley. We had everything we needed. The area around Anogia is really interesting with the strong sheep and goat farming, the geopark. Marina is a very friendly host.
The room was spacious and the bed was one of the most comfortable we have had on Crete. The staff was very helpful. The place is a destination in and of itself.
traditional and sunny apartment in the centre of Anogia. it is a perfect base to explore the Psiloritis region. Poppi, the owner, was very nice and welcoming.
It was great to stay at Marina's hotel, Marina told us interesting stories about Anoyia, We would love to come back!
The view on te balcony was perfect!
