It was easy to find, Lorraine who served me was excellent and helped change my room when I requested it and was most helpful and polite. The room I was given was large and comfortable but the view was not of the seaside which was impossible as the the hotel didn't face that way.

Weston super mare looks very tired, very popular though for families but parking is a nightmare, at the time of our visit it was busy and very noisy with motor bikes, and loud music blaring out everywhere the pier opened late but closed early nicest place to eat was bistrot Pierre

Hotel requires refurbishment. Rooms were dull. On entering the hotel, there was a foul smell near the lift. No bathroom washbasin mixture is available. Closet ceiling light was not working. Don't like advertisement done on coffee mugs. Seemed like I was having coffee in some donated cups. Good Breakfast was fairly good Staff was courteous and well mannered.

I am 71 and came from Bristol. Sunday school outings always went to Weston. My parents and brother all ended up living at Carlton Mansions next door to the Grand Atlantic. I love returning to Weston and spending time on the beach.

Weston super Mare is an old fashioned seaside resort trying hard to keep itself attractive. The renovated pier has offers amusements and cafes and the derelict old pier adds character. There is a sandy beach but at low tide there is a lot of mud between that and the sea. The marine pool is interesting. There is pleasant walking on the nearby headlands Worlebury to the north and Brean Down, a short drive to the south. There are plenty of places to eat - we went to a great Italian place called Il Michelangelo.

    Great.

Great. This has to be possibly the best family seaside holiday destination . So many other seaside resorts have sadly gone downhill ,but not so Weston the beach and promenade are a real credit to the local council, its services and employees. Weston super mare has everything a family could want for a great holiday experience.

Like? Pleasant reception area and staff. But the rest? I checked in at 2.02 p.m and asked for sandwich at the bar. But last orders 1.45 p.m. I was directed to the nearby Premier Inn. I ended up enjoying a cheese sandwich at the Royal Hotel (surely a rival?) at 2.25 p.m. Breakfast - very poor quality bacon, sausage and scrambled egg. Fresh fruit mostly cut up apples. Do it yourself toast, no croissants. Weak pre made coffee. I was first in for breakfast so it wasn’t going to get better. Disappointing.

Traditional seaside b&b/hotel right on the seafront - rooms were immaculately clean (mine had a new ensuite) cosy, comfortable and heated up nicely in the evening (stayed in winter). Special thanks for the unexpected upgrade (had booked a single room, but got a twin, and it was nice to have the additional space). This was more than what I had expected for the price. Excellent service too. Thank you.

Location was perfect, hotel was right on the seafront. Breakfast was delicious, lots of choice; a selection of cereals, full English breakfast and continental available, a selection of pastries. All hotel staff really friendly and welcoming. Hotel room was very clean, modern decor and plenty of space inside, shower good, room came with sea view.

We booked The Royal Hotel primarily for its location, close to the town centre and seafront. We were allocated room 204, with dual aspect windows, one over looking the car park and college , and the second one had a sea view. Breakfast was lovely, however a little disorganised and the waitress’s did have some difficult guests to attend to.
