The old town is small but very attractive and there are a few interesting things to see there, many connected to the First World War. The beach is very nice. There is a nature reserve that you can get to by the free ferry which is worth going to, and there are lots of walks that you could do. Beyond that there isn't a lot to keep you in Nieuwpoort, so it is a great benefit that you can take the coastal tram from Nieuwpoort so you can explore other places.

It was a short stay but I enjoyed it like always. One of my favourite places at the Belgian coast because of the dike (no cars and a lot of space), the mouth of river Ijzer, the history of the world wars (mainly world war I) and the multiple walking possibilities. I've been there many times and planning to go back for many times.

If you don’t go to Nieuwpoort Bad but to the Nieuwpoort town area or to Koksijde, you may be better off. Nieuwpoort Bad is a wannabe-look rich shopping strip with plenty of places to leave your money. There are better beaches along the ‚Kust‘, with more normal crowd.

Great walks along the beach and seafront to marina.

Great walks along the beach and seafront to marina. Nieuwpoort has lots of great shops if that’s what you like doing. Don’t forget to visit the old town with the Nieuwpoort Stad Market square and appreciate the Flemish architecture.

The near to the beach. I could leave my sea kayak on the terrace, which lies to the back yard. A tram station is near the house and you can use the tram for a trip not only to the center to Nieuwpoort but also to Natuurreservaat Westhoek. The stove has an induction hot plate. There is a coffeemachine of newest standard. Though I am not interested in that but I want to mention that they give you opportunity to play on playstation. Hot water for shower was no problem. It was despite of the traffic on Franzlaan quite silent in the appartment.

A really nice, comfortable apartment. Well decorated and maintained. The owner sent a helpful email before my arrival giving all the information necessary. Nice views; located near the historic centre of Nieuwpoort, with the market square a few minutes' walk away. A cycle route led to the apartment, with mostly easy paths all the way from Dunkirk. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby, and about ten minutes' walk from the tram stop of Nieuwpoort Stad. Ten minutes on the tram to the beach at Nieuwpoort Bad.

Absolutely! We had booked a stay with a different hotel 9 minutes away by car but our son’s basketball team all stayed here. So I booked our last night here so we could check out the ocean view and be closer to restaurants and the beach to have the convenience of just walking up for the night vs driving back to the other hotel further out. We all agreed this was the better view, and room. We didn’t stay for breakfast bc we had a game though.

Very well located near everything: beach, shopping street, restaurants etc. Staff at the reception incredibly kind and helpful, we really appreciate it. Very well organized taking into consideration all the Covid measures. Inside parking very well explained and easy to access, 18 euro / day (2 minutes from the hotel). Breakfast ok, room service available. The room had a nice terrace. We will come back for sure, highly recommended.

Very nicely decorated and small, but comfortable appartement, very well located in a street parallel to Nieuwpoort-Bad's main street (abundance of all kinds of shops including supermarket, bakeries, food take aways, ...), at walking distance from the beach aswel as the tram. Owners provided clear and helpful info before our stay and friendly and fast communication during.

Excellent breakfast. Owner does a wonderful job in helping the guests to feel welcome. Room was spotless clean, spaceous and comfortable. Great location for those who love horses, domestic animals and nature. If you want peace and quiet, this location has them both! Yet, you require your own transport. About 10 minutes drive to/from Nieuwpoort.
