Right on a quiet section of the beach, great for daily beach walks. Unit was clean and well stocked. Neighbors in other units were all very friendly as well as the staff. Staff was also very attentive and quick to respond to questions and concerns.

The property was in a great spot. Less than 5 minute walk to the beach. It was very clean and the room was spacious. Loved the live music nearby.

We stayed for 3 nights at a beach front resort. The views were spectacular and the beach was steps away from our door. The condo had puzzles, games, books, chairs, and everything was renovated. It was a great stay. We enjoyed the Mote Aquarium, Harry’s Kitchen, Tyler’s Ice cream, and Lazy lobster. It’s close to lots of activities and food without the crowds of siesta Or Sarasota.

We loved being here as there were no crowds, the beach was accessible and again no crowds. The pool and hot tun were fabulous. Plenty of chairs, towels, and service. The valet people were simply amazing. Every time we approached the front door to the resort, they were there opening the doors for us. The front desk people always had a cheerful attitude and welcomed us each time we came back in from a trip or dinner. Longboat Key has several delightful restaurants, including the one at the Zota Beach Resort. Our favorite was Mar Vista.

I love Longboat Key.
I love Longboat Key. It is a quiet location but has enough restaurants and is so close to Sarasota and St. Armands Circle. It is one of my favorite locations here in Florida. What I didn't like was the Zota Beach Resort. We were not given the room we paid for and were treated terribly by the front desk. Everyone else was nice. The bathroom in our room had mold growing. Not good. The beach is perfect there and the pool was very nice.

My husband and I believe that we were misled by the resident/manager when she stated that she did not expect the beach reclamation to happen so soon. I had called her the week prior to check on beach towels and she clearly could see the pipes and progress that the company was making. When we asked for a credit, she said that booking. com should be able to take care of it.

Lodging was very clean. Nicely designed and very spacious.
Lodging was very clean. Nicely designed and very spacious. Pool area very clean and full sun or umbrellas for shade. It rained one night of stay but we had the screened patio so wasn’t stuck inside. Most thing I liked was the parking. Plenty of room and they had utility carts outside for help with multiple bags or groceries. I’ve already reserved a different unit in April and looked around at other places because it’s beautiful in FL and after awhile I knew what I would be getting at LaPlaya and don’t get me wrong there’s a lot of gorgeous places to stay but this had it all for me. First trip there was an All girlfriend trip and now I’m taking my boyfriend. So from a couple of drinks on the beach with your friends to a romantic get away. LaPlaya is the place!!!

Longboat Key was great, more of a condo location with fewer hotels. This hotel is located just north of center of the key. It was about 10 minutes from a Publix which was great for a few in room snacks. We enjoyed venturing down to St. Armand's Circle as well as down to Siesta Key Oyster Bar for a great dinner. Closer by we dined at the Dry Dock which was outstanding. Very easy to get around, very laid back, enough restaurants and retail without it being overt. Just peaceful and a place we'll return to soon!
The sea view room was perfect. Quiet with a great view.
The room size was very comfortable. The layout of the bathroom was perfect for me. Although some repair work is needed in the bathroom (faucet rotates when you use it).
There was a relaxed atmosphere in the hotel, which suited us very well. The music by the pool was at a comfortable volume.
The beach was wonderful.
The bar staff was great and extremely friendly!
It. Was a self serve experience. I expected more from a four star hotel. No baggage service to your room, wait staff at the restaurant couldn’t bother to set the table or distribute menus like a proper restaurant, the front desk didn’t bother informing us there was currently red tide in the sea in front of their hotel, and the pool was over populated.
Excellent location for Longboat Key and St Armands Circle. Hotel is spotless and has a great pool area and beach.
The weather was a little cold so with limited time we did not see the best of the hotel but from check in to check out all were delightful and helpful and the hotel and facilities were immaculate.
Location is great, being right on the beach. The hotel staff are really helpful. The swimming pool was perfect, heated to a comfortable temperature and near to a pool bar. The hotel design and decoration is stunning - a very relaxing and comfortable place to stay.
Location is great for families that are coming to Longboat Key, There is a beautiful beach across the street and a breakfast place next door that is very good. The unit have a lot of space. Full kitchen and depending on the unit a nice outdoor space.
Excellent beachfront location. Friendly front desk, restaurant/bar, and valet staff. Modern lobby and pool facilities. I enjoyed my stay at Zota and will be back to stay at the newer building.
