**Review for Wolf’s Den at Wooden Nickel Cabins in Payson, AZ**
We recently stayed at the Wolf’s Den at Wooden Nickel Cabins, and it was an unforgettable experience! Nestled right on the edge of the national forest, the cabin was immaculately clean and wonderfully cozy. The proximity to the creek, just a short walk away, added an extra touch of serenity to our stay.
One of the standout features is how dog-friendly the cabins are. They even provided puppy treats, which was such a cute and thoughtful touch. Our kids absolutely loved the upstairs loft; it was the perfect space for our four little ones to play and relax. The on-site playground and charming game room kept them entertained for hours.
The cabin was equipped with everything we needed for a family getaway. From kitchen essentials to comfortable bedding, they’ve thought of everything. This place is truly a hidden gem, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a family-friendly retreat. We can’t wait to come back!
Offering a garden, Upgraded, Stylish & Comfy 1 Bedroom/1 Bath Studio features accommodations in Payson. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking.

The information & photos on the rental were accurate & it was a no hassle rental, the owner of the property was wonderful to work with. They had all the information i needed before i arrived already sent to me so i had no issue getting inside when i arrived which was really awesome. And they were quick & great about answering any questions or concerns that i had and made us feel very comfortable & welcome, something i greatly appreciated. It was easy to find & in a great location, close enough to anything we needed in town & yet we still felt very secluded & private. Its a cute little studio with a super comfortable bed, has a huge shower, coffee pot, toaster oven, microwave all inside & it was very clean, nicely maintained, a good price & really perfect for the 2 of us. Washer & Dryer in one of the shared spaces and there are doors that lock for security & privacy entering into either dwelling from the laundry room & they're nice large machines which was nice. One of my favorite parts of this place is the large deck outside of the studio joining up with a nice backyard, fire pit & alot of seating around the fire pit & the porch area too. Nice gas grill, 2 burner stove top & some pans & some cooking utensils/accessories & full size refrigerator. I love the idea of this set up but wish i would've been better prepared because it was hard to enjoy a huge part of this place with the cold weather still.. i would definitely still recommend this place to my friends/ family as well as stay there again just later in the year when the weather is warmer and I could really enjoy the whole experience.
Guests can benefit from a patio and a children's playground. There's an outdoor fireplace and guests can use free Wifi and free private parking.

It really felt like the perfect weekend getaway. Nice and quiet location, fun little playground for my kids, all the amenities that I can stay and not have to drive into town (just make sure you go grocery shopping). Kids loved the bear hunt activity and the arcade cabinets were really fun. We all had a cozy weekend together as a family; next time we’ll try to aim to stay longer!
I noticed that there was so much attention to detail: there was a nice whiff of air freshener when I walked in, games inside the cabin, smart TV, memory foam padding in the mattress, plenty of extra bedding, cute cabin decor that feels hand-picked, cooking pots and pans, even grill tools. It felt less like a hotel and more like a home which was perfect. The facilities are clearly well cared for.
This property offers access to a patio, darts, free private parking, and free Wifi. The chalet offers a children's playground and a 24-hour front desk.

Location, secluded. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable accomodations.
The staff at the Comfort Inn was fantastic. We wanted to watch a specific basketball game, so we called ahead to see of the Comfort Inn had that particular network. The staff member checked and yes they did have that network. We also asked for recommendations on a pizza restaurant. She again helped us out. She also called me by my first name when I checked in. Excellent service.

The weather is fantastic, mild temperatures in mid October.
The weather is fantastic, mild temperatures in mid October. The area offers a lot of nature and outdoor sports. I attended a family reunion and we gathered at Rumsey Park for the day, everyone who attended had a good time. I would have liked more time to show my family the nearby lakes and rivers and visit the Tonto Natural Bridge.

Payson is a wonderful slow-paced mountain town.
Payson is a wonderful slow-paced mountain town. Visited the Tonto Natural Bridge, the Pine Creek Lavender Farm, and Pine Creek Fudge Ice Cream & Espresso shop which are all a short drive north of Payson. Loved La Sierra Mexican and Diamond Point Shadows restaurants. Hiked at Cypress Trail and Boulders Loop.
We enjoyed the location and the cabin amenities. Parking was excellent and the porch and patio areas are comfortable. We especially enjoyed the grill for cooking our chicken and the fire pit for building a small fire with wood that we got in Payson. The game room was "old school," but our son enjoyed the games. The beds were adequate. The chair cushions in the kitchen were a bit too dirty for my taste and the "living room" couch and chairs are a bit worn.
This place ruined my vacation. The first room we got was smoked in. We requested to move so we wouldn't be charged for someone else smoking in this room. That went well until I seen the charged me 2 rooms 4 times and held up $1200.and then blamed me for thier mistake and would not help me fix the issue. So at that time I am broke because the hotel messed up. I will never do business with this hotel ever agian and warning to anyone else.
We had breakfast at a nearby cafe, which was excellent. I need to get reimbursed for the hotel cost, and I can't find any receipt or bill. Can you email me a copy? Send to me at: meyerd755@gmail.com Thanks
I did NOT like having to drag luggage up the stairs, since I'm 85 yrs old, and no staff to help with this. For the two of us, not enough towels/washcloths. Beds were very comfortable, and a/c worked well.
I stopped in Payson on a little weekend road trip. I've been working in AZ for the past couple of months and sleeping in a twin-sized bed. I got a king bed at Best Western and this was the best sleep I've had in months. It was so comfortable and I was able to sprawl out. The room was clean and quiet and the breakfast was good, too. I felt so refreshed after staying here for one night. Thank you!!
The staff went out of their way to help us out. We wanted to watch a specific basketball game, so we called ahead to see if they had that particular network that the game would be on. The staff member checked and made sure that was the case. We asked for a recommendation on a pizza location. She again came through. She greeted me by name when I checked in. Excellent service in Payson.
Not a hotel but a single annexe above the owners property. The balcony enabled us to watch birds in the evening, being the main purpose of our trip. Plenty of space, owner very friendly and helpful, car parked off road in a very nice neighbourhood, use of garden (small friendly dog). Everything was as new, very relaxing, unfortunately we had only booked one night.
Location is beautiful among the trees and away from hubbub of Payson. Cozy room with pine log paneling. Well stocked kitchen to prepare our meals. It had snowed earlier and the main lodge had a fire going with comfortable chairs to lounge in and warm up. Friendly staff and other guest. Added bonus is the filtered water dispenser next to the ice machine.
Just a nice place to stay. The owners are super nice. The place is clean. Well lit with great parking. The shower in room 35 is the best. This is the only room I have ever stayed in. 5 times in the last year or so. I can park my vehicle with my trailer (12 footer) attached right outside the door. I will return again for sure.
Absolutely one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at , The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. The premises were very clean, absolutely beautiful place. Very well kept hotel. I've stayed at a lot of hotels and this one rates the best ever., .
The breakfast was your typical hotel breast, it wasn’t horrible, coffee wasn’t great but it all did the job. We loved the spa tub inside the room and the cute little fireplace. The mirror inside the bathroom was AMAZING. Odd thing to mention I know but I thought it was so cool.
The service was amazing. We had a late arrival due to delayed flights and they accommodated us. We also had camping equipment delivered to the hotel and they sorted out receiving and storing the package. The place was clean, tidy. Good sized rooms. Great breakfast. Thank you!
A very comfortable, spacious room, a nice comfortable rocking chair to enjoy a beer in on the porch looking at a nice garden area. Excellent steakhouse 100yds up the road and nice location for an overnight in Payson.
Wonderful quiet location. Room was spacious and completely equipped with every amenity you could want. Well furnished so that it felt more like being in a home than a hotel room.
Friendly staff. Clean room. Had everything we needed. Lots of things walking distance. Kids enjoyed pool. Plenty of options in the hotel breakfast bar. Beds were comfy.
