Jeju is a feast for the eyes!
Jeju is a feast for the eyes! We visited in winter and I thought it would be gloomy but I was wrong. During our visit, it's perfectly wintry cold under the sunny skies. We visited UNESCO designated heritages (We got to hike the snowy Hallasan!), museums, parks, beaches, and a ton of restaurants! The food was great! Personally, I think the food and admission fees to the places we visited are affordable and really worth our money. We enjoyed our stay in Jeju a lot that we wish we could've stayed there longer. We will surely be back!

We were visiting in the winter, it wasn't busy and we could get around without any issues. The only day which was more difficult was new years, understandable.
The taxi's are very affordable, often it was cheaper to get a taxi than travel by bus (party of 3).
We found everywhere to be clean and plenty of restrooms.
The downside is that the travel information is often not up to date. We ended up booking a guide one day, if we hadn't two of the attractions we had planned to go to were closed (this was not posted in English anywhere) but the guide knew. One was the Manjanggul Cave, which will be closed for a year by the sounds of it.
The KakaoMap app is handy to workout how to get about and really good for figuring out the buses. KakaoT for taxis, we tried Uber too but it was very hit and miss.
There are a good variety of attractions for all ages. Generally speaking it didn't feel very accessability friendly.
It is worth hiring a guide for a day, not only does it remove the stress of trying to figure everything out but they can also tell you much more about the place than you will get from a guide book.

Jeju Island is nothing short of amazing and beautiful.
Jeju Island is nothing short of amazing and beautiful. My time there felt like a dream, and the only regret I had was that my visit was too short to explore all that this stunning island has to offer. The experience and the feeling of being surrounded by such natural beauty and unique culture are truly one-of-a-kind.
Every corner of Jeju Island seems to be a picturesque postcard waiting to be captured, from its lush landscapes to the breathtaking coastline. I was left in awe of the island's natural wonders, from the volcanic formations to the pristine beaches.
The local culture and warmth of the people added an extra layer of charm to my trip. The island has a distinct character that is both inviting and captivating.
As I left Jeju Island, I couldn't help but wish for an opportunity to return soon. It's a place that leaves an indelibl mark on your heart, and I can't wait to explore more of its wonders in the future."

The list of great things in Jeju is long.
The list of great things in Jeju is long. JeJu city is cool and worth a day or two. Take the city bus tours - one does the city and the other cruises around the coastal parts of the town. It's a hop on and off situation. Then get across to Seogwipo - inexpensive bus from the airport - and bask in the joy of being in this magical seaside town. Give it a few days. The food is amazing everywhere and in this fishing town the seafood is simply amazing. A rental car is a plus at this point as many of the best places need some transportation - do the National Park and the lava tubes as well as some of the more remote beaches. On an island that has 16 million visitors a year it's hard-to-impossible to get into a truly remote beach but then again it's a chance to enjoy people watching in a beautiful place- Koreans do selfies and groupies better than anyone and they appear to absolutely love it.
The view is just truely amazing. some beaches in Jeju were transparent some were not but the Woljeong beach in front of this hotel is very famous among the young generation and surfers and it is very very transparent and beautiful. The hotel staff were very helpful and the room was very clean. The ocean obviously damaged the outside building structure a bit but the room was perfect for us two. We also loved the pool and if we ever do come next time we would love to try the pool heating. Highly recommended at this price.
The location is fantastic. I had a room with the sea view. The waterfront is a great place for walks. it is near a pier dotted with numerous seafood restaurants. Very near the main shopping area (Chilsung shopping area, Jugang underground shopping and Dongmun traditional market) and the Black pork street. I would recommend using this hotel as base camp for the visit of Jeju. The restaurant in the hotel (Seoga & cook) and the cafe (Aslan cafe) are both quite good. Check-out staff was very helpful.
Probably one of the best hotels we've stayed in.
Great value for money.
Free breakfast sandwiches delivered to the room were a nice touch.
Laundry facilities (free).
Cool to have an arcade machine in the room.
Helpful and friendly staff.
Staff booked a taxi to the airport for us.
Located in the city area so easy access to restaurants after a day with our private driver (which I'd also recommend for a stay in Jeju because it can be difficult to get around otherwise).
Comfortable.
Quiet.
Clean.
This place has a very interesting thing: it's preserved in time, so you get a 70s/80s like Korean retro vibe. It's interesting because you can tell the owners are preserving it and it's good. It's very clean and the staff was helpful. There's a bathtub and there are big towels (a rare thing in Korea) and it's great. If you're more of a modern-type of rooms/hotels kind of person this is not your place. The location is very convenient considering the places you can go to from Jeju city.
The Hotel Leo staff are all excellent, friendly, well trained, and with a great service attitude. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was good.
The location in Jeju City allows you to easily find good restaurants and other interesting places.
As small as this is, the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner all have large labels, so even with my eyes, it was easy to know which one was which, even without glasses on.
Highly recommended hotel in my opinion.
clean, city view, Davines-care in room, European breakfast (you need to pay extra ~30$) with a very good variety and quality of products.
the location is nice if you need shops (Lotte duty free is next to the hotel). some guided tours start from Lotte parking area and it's really close to the airport (10 minutes bus ride from the stop that is close to Lotte hotel). but if you want to see the nature, you'd better locate at the opposite part of Jeju.
The host was the kindest most endearing human being. He was there for anything we needed, and went the extra mile to check in on us and made sure we had a good time on the compounds. I really recommend staying in this location for something special. Hotels are convenient and nice, but this stay will always remain as a special memory for me and my mum~ The countryside side of Jeju is just as, if not more, beautiful than the city views <33
close to airport. taxi costs about 6,000 won. spacious room and nice view. hotel is also close to different bus stations to go to dongmum market, or the port to Udo. I highly recommend this hotel as it is really convenient to go anywhere from the hotel. my room was super nice for the price also. I will definitely come back to this hotel again. and a lot of taxi drivers know about this hotel so it’s a big plus!
Great location for a short stay in Jeju -- close to the airport, and I was easily able to take public buses from a nearby stop only a few minutes walk, or call a Kakao taxi (you need a Korean phone number) if I wanted to get somewhere on the island more quickly. It was calming and quiet -- I had only one roommate each night I was there, perhaps because it's past peak summer season.
- The hotel is located in the city center of Jeju Island. However, I wouldn't stay in the city center again, because there is not much to do or see.
- The hotel had valet parking, which was a nice surprise.
- The rooms are very spacious and the beds are comfortable.
- Our stay was not great, but luckily the hotel was also not too expensive.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was delicious with a wide choice. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The hotel location is a convenient 5 minute walk from the bus terminal when arriving on the 181 bus from the airport. Good restaurants in the local area. We'd recommend a stay here when visiting Jeju city.
- it was clean, but it could have been cleaner. maybe this is Jeju Island issue, because we’ve stayed at 3 hotels (the other 2 were 4 stars) and none of them was perfectly clean
- close to the restaurants and to the shopping street
- friendly staff
nice gala hotel. very good facilities. nice personnel. big room. great breakfast.
marvelous stay at Jeju. the hotel is located right between some nice local restaurants, a big supermarket and city centre.
Great location, just 10mins drive to jeju airport with cafes and restaurants nearby! Clean and spacious room with comfortable beds. 7-11 convenient store is easily accessible, at level 2 of the hotel
The bathroom was great, nice shower and its amenities. The space was good. The price was good for just sleeping in the hotel at night. Close to the Airport, shopping, and restaurants.
Great location for easy access to buses that run all over the island. Started in a triple and room was nice and large with ability to close door to bedroom. Very quiet rooms.
