Amberton is a self-checkin property located in the heart of Vilnius’s Old Town, just a few steps from Cathedral Square.

Our room was very adequate in terms of space/size. It was clean. However, the room was beside the exit/entry point which had automated doors and this made it noisy day and night - we were sleep deprived.

If you're visiting Vilnius, you'll easily find the Old Town, museums, cathedrals, and the iconic Three Crosses. For dinner, London Grill, Brussels Mussels, and Neringa Restaurant are all great choices. But don’t limit yourself to just the Old Town — the TV Tower and the surrounding areas of Vilnius are also well worth exploring.

A very interesting and friendly city with extraordinary history. Everything works, little traffic, clean air, no litter anywhere, efficient and cheap public transport, good restaurant choice, great value - the antithesis of the UK and a great weekend destination!

Cozy with a lot of alleys and old town streets to stroll around. Despite the population changes of the last century (google : ethnic composition change history LRT ), the city still has a cosmopolitan appearance. Sitting in a cafe or bar, you will hear many languages (Lithuanian, Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, English and so on). Part of the reason is that many international companies have outsourced to the Baltics). At this time (March 2025), Vilnius feels very affordable with a glass of wine in a gastrobar (popular concept here) for 2,50 Euro or a simple meal of potato pancakes for 6 Euro. You may want to google: numbeo vilnius cost Personal travel tip / discovery : Vilna Gaon Museum of Jewish History . This museum is situated in a beautifully renovated theatre building. Vilnius feels clean and safe.

The Old Town was huge and we'll preserved.Lots if beautiful architecture. Be prepared for long walks. Not great for shopping. Presumedly you have to go out of the Old Town. Customer service was generally poor. You felt unwelcome in most shops and cafes. People in general seemed moody and fed up with tourists. We were there out of the season. Luckily there were some exceptions like The Cat Cafe and Pachmama Dining Club.

It would definitely be better to choose a warmer period for going there, as there is much to see, and it's much more beautiful with sunny weather rather than gloomy and cold. There are lots of cafes and churches to explore and visit. It's easy to walk around using Google Maps if you want to see and visit specific places. Vilnius is the perfect city to explore on foot - you only need your legs and a positive attitude. Open Google Maps on your phone and head out to visit all the churches and attractions; they’re 100% worth it. Many of the churches offer free entry, providing an amazing experience and a visual treat. Favorite Spots: Cafés/Food: Sweet Love Cafe, Awokado Wok & Sushi, Cat Cafe, The Gallery Cafe (the view), Onigiri, BREW. I am surprised as to why Vilnius is not more popular!

I am surprised as to why Vilnius is not more popular! Delicious food. (very reasonably priced) Civilized and helpful people. (They are NOT cold, rude, or arrogant) Many things to see. Nature. Good public transport. Wifi in most placed (restaurants, supermarkets, etc) The tourist information center even has a small theater in the back showing videos about Vilnius, and even nice well kept public convenience facilities inside.

The room is perfect for a couple, very clean, comfortable, spacious and quiet neighborhood. The location is perfect too, old town and city center is within walking distance. Also, the train and bus station is only a few minutes away, so it's super easy to get around. The hotel is very nice too, super clean and friendly staff. The bed was big and very comfy. I would also recommend Boulangerie Vilnius for amazing pastries, which is nearby (about 5 mins walking from the hotel).

The staff was very friendly. Everything was clean. We really enjoyed the breakfast. A lot of choices, very fresh and very tasty. We were pleasantly surprised by it. Overall quite good value for money! The hotel is very well located if you are coming from or going to the airport (Bus 3G, bus stop is a 5min walk away, 1€). However for our taste it could have been a bit closer to the city centre/old town, because it's a 25min walk or a 3€ Bolt/uber drive.
