Ratanakiri homestay provides a family environment with multiple options for accommodations such as dorm beds, bungalows and private rooms. Mr. T and his family are very welcoming and make guests feel at home from beginning to end. The hosts are also very helpful with everything one might need such as recommendations for landmarks to visit, having food available at the homestay or setting up for jungle trekking. This homestay is also very involved with the community providing afternoon English classes to children and donations for the locals. Definitely a great place to visit and a good cause to support.

Where to begin.
This was by far my favorite experience in Cambodia.
Living with this amazing family was so exciting!
Now, you can’t be expecting luxury, 5 stars etc, but when you’re ready to fully dive into a local family’s life & home, then look no further.
Pov and his wife & kids are so welcoming & kind and try their best to make your stay perfect.
I didn’t have time to do big jungle treks, so instead, Pov took me around the area, visiting the best spots, and let me hang out with him and his friends in the evenings! Him and his wife also made sure I wasn’t starving, and even cooked vegan meals for me.
I loved my time here and would definitely come back! Maybe in the future!
Choul mouy my friend!

Nature at its finest. Between the waterfalls, crater lake, & rolling hills covered in greenery, you never know where to look. Take some time to walk around town & also do some trekking.
You'll also find good food & friendly faces at every turn. Don't hesitate to make your day or 2 turn into a few more.
You just cant find a better place… so human, so caring, the price is so good for all the moments you will share with this lovely family.. you will want to stay!
- family dinner are the best food we have tried in south east Asia: Nita you are the best!
- great option for trek (we did 1night 2 days and loved our english speaking rangers)
- the room has everything you need
- THEY HAVE WATER REFILL #StopPlastic
- they also have good bus options
An excellent and relaxing place to stay, close to the centre of Banlung, with resteraunts, street stalls, and the lively and colourful town market within easy walking distance. Great value and Mr Happy has lots of local knowledge, speaks good English and can organise tuk tuks, guided tours and trekking, scooter rental etc and Mrs Happy has Socheata Resteraunt next door and cooks delicious local cuisine every day.
Pu Thea was an absolutely amazing owner who treated me and my wife like family. He picked us up from the bus station in the early hours of the morning, helped us get around Banlung in the days and his wife cooked some incredible food! If you're looking for a day or up to 3 treks in the jungle, do it via Pu Thea who organised everything great!
The room was very spacious too and clean for a lovely 2 days
The best thing about the property is the owner, Mr Happy. He’a great guy to have around, he can help with just about anything and on top of that he’s a pleasure to talk to. The property itself is neat, tidy and comfortable with plenty of power outlets and a misquote net. The location is great too, just a short walk from the centre of town. Being able to rent a scooter from here is also a nice bonus.
Amazingly hospitable family who make you feel like you're at home. Truly a great experience all around and Mr. Pov organized a great 3 day, 2 night jungle trekking experience with a local guide. Definitely recommend staying here while you're in Banlung, and Pov is willing to pick you up and drop you off where needed. He can also schedule any bus or trip you may need. THE highlight of my trip so far!
The essence of Cambodia is not in their brutal history, not in their financial misfortune—it is in their people.
The host family are tender-hearted. Their children are full of life, the students they host English classes for are full curiosity, and the owners are full of selfless love.
I urge you to stay here, share in their beautiful way of life, and discover Cambodia’s benevolent spirit.
Bee bee's chalets is absolutely a place to stay in Banlung. We had an absolutely great time with the family and the others travellers. The room was comfortable, the shower was really appreciated after trekking days in the jungle. The family owning the place is really friendly and welcoming. We spend the evening together enjoying good homemade food and go out into the city. Thanks again!
Very clean, basic room but comfortable bed and fan. The host, Nop, is absolutely fantastic. He helped with everything, from sorting a jungle trek, to accompanying me to the best breakfast restaurant in Banlung, taking me to the stunning waterfalls and lake outside the town and even helping fix a puncture and sorting a car mechanic. 10/10 for hosting.
The owner's family is very friendly. The room was airy and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and convenient for drying towels. Next to this homestay, there is a restaurant run by their relatives and we had dinner there. According to my sister who lives in Banlung, it is a popular Cambodian hot pot restaurant among the locals.
Very nice place to stay and sooo cheap! Of course you do not have the confort of 5 stars hotel, but it is still quite nice! Saat (the owner) can discuss with you and let you discover his region. He can also do tuktuk driver and guide for an amazing Trekk in the jungle, as you will see nowhere else!
I highly recommand
Such a beautiful experience here in Banlung, and especially at Tree Lodge! Horng makes you feel like part of the family, and was so friendly and helpful. I also organised a trek with her company, which was incredible ! Highly recommend

Really nice homestay, really peaceful and cosy. It has everything you need and the host is amazingly helpful and welcoming ! Probably the best hotel I stayed in Cambodia so far.
The most wonderful owners, so welcoming and helpful. Guests invited to family dinners every night and to help with English school. One of the best places I’ve stayed!
