The room was clean and quiet, had fridge, microwave, everything we needed. Nothing fancy, but that was ok. And the price was right. I'll stay here again if I'm in Holbrook

Comfortable and reasonably priced. Convenient to highway without the highway noise. Some noise from other travelers early in the AM. But that does not reflect on the hotel but more on the men that thought that yelling to each mother at 5;30 AM is okay. Had a fridge and microwave which I really appreciated. The hotel staff was pleasant and helpful😎

I had to call the health department on this place, and Im almost positive this is the reason we were kicked out so horribly being owed so much money as well. My family & I stayed here in exchange for work and cash. As soon as we got to our first room which was room 20, there were blood stains on the pillow cases. There was also roaches on the ceiling looking at us. I was so disgusted with all the hair as well as blood on the sheets and stains on the floor that I decided to let my babies just sleep in their stroller until I cleaned up a bit. 2nd day of our stay 25% of my body had bug bites, I even had one right next to my eye. I went and told the owner & she insisted that it was a mosquito bite. Almost a month in we found an actual bed bug & killed it just to take it to the her. She then moved us to another room which was 32. That room was worse than the first.I went in that night with 4 cans of bed bug bombs & a brand new can of raid for the roaches. There was at least 40 on the ceiling that I counted. Not to mention the ones on the window seal, bathroom, microwave & fridge. After letting the room be fogged for 2 hours I still saw bed bugs crawling on the mattress. So I did a deep clean of the room and put DE all over the bed & head board. 2 weeks into being in that room I couldn't take it any more. The owner also over worked my husband & during our last week he no longer wanted to be there. She had made him work in the restaurant part of the building & the owner not only served expired food, but it smelled like a rotting corpse in the back. I also witnessed her take a box of rotting vegetables from outside of our room which was going to be thrown in the garbage. The whole building needs to be shut down or get new management.

The high point was the very friendly and helpful receptionist. She gets a thumbs up.
The room was only just acceptably clean-ish. It could have done with a thorough dusting.
The walls are quite thin. Then there are the trains that come by frequently. They give out earplugs at the front desk to help with the train noise.
The biggest negative for me was the fact that there was no electrical outlet in the bathroom. For people having to blow dry their hair that’s a bit of a problem. For that reason alone I would not go back, although it’s a good value.

Holbrook is the only real lodging option for visiting Petrified Forest National Park...which is AMAZING (the blue mesa hike is a MUST). The southern entrance to the park is 15 or so miles from town and stunning. the rock shop at the turn out of town is one of the best. There is a terrific quilt shop on Main Street. Much of Holbrook is in need of investment, but it has a kitchy charm. Cement dinosaurs, a Disney Cars-like Teepee drive up motel complete with all the old 40's to 60's cars, and Giant silly signs. It really is a throwback to the grand Route 66 era, along with nearby Winslow, AZ. Several great diners and beyond the national park, it's a great, nostalgic stop on Route 66. If you have kids, make a game out of counting the silly old cement dinosaurs. they are EVERYWHERE. (pics from Petrified forest mostly) If you have time pair this town with Winslow (to stand on the corner) and grab a really tasty ice cream and latte in Winslow...on "the" corner.

The staff was very rude.
The staff was very rude.
Either they don't like their job or their guests. Well, after some stupid comments we received our room cards. Unfortunately, the room was directly opposite the loud ice machine, so we subsequently asked to change rooms. The staff didn't believe us that we hadn't entered or used the room. Only a few minutes had passed.
Despite the annoyance of the staff, we managed to change rooms. The newly assigned room was directly behind an elevator, so it wasn't ideal, but we made do. Unfortunately, the toilet didn't flush as usual in this room. But we didn't feel like having to deal with the staff again, so we settled for it and just mentioned it when we left the next day.
This hotel was the most expensive in Holbrook, but certainly not the best choice. Next time we'll look for a different hotel, for example Best Western or something similar.

Holbrook is a small town part of Historic Route 66 and the I-40 corridor. It's close proximity to natural attractions such as Painted Desert and Petrified Forest along with the Navajo Reservation is really the only thing worth boasting about this place. It may have been because we visited in February, but this town felt very sleepy. A lot of shops along their main road were closed or boarded up and the only things my kids were interested in were taking a picture in front of some cartoonish dinosaur sculptures and the freight trains that would roll through. Ended up playing at the local public park for most of the time.
Colonel Mustard was pretty good for a hot-dog place. Got a yummy polish dog and the Greek fries were amazing all set in a repurposed classic gas station.

Holbrook is fairly has-been, but we did fine a decent Italian restaurant for dinner with our dog - Mesa Italiana. They have a closed in area out back with tables which is dog friendly. Food was quite good, too.

I forgot to mention they were a FIRE HAZARD.
I forgot to mention they were a FIRE HAZARD. (I used to work in insurance) and there was a malfunctioning three prong adaptor plug for the tv, microwave and refrigerator and all plug into and then into the wall. The refrigerator spoiled the food I carry as a diabetic in case the motel breakfast is crappy for me SINCE IT NEVER REALLY WORKED , we couldn't use the microwave because the PLUG SPARKED. The THREE PLUG RECEPTACLE WASN'T BUILT FOR THE LOAD.
Room was standard, nothing fancy. Breakfast had hot food (scrambled eggs and sausages), a waffle maker, cereals, milk, and apples. The juice machine was out of order when I was there. There was however nobody else eating breakfast both times I ate there at around 8:30am - much different from similar motels where the breakfast area is usually pretty crowded, and I'm not sure why. There is decent food nearby. I chose this motel because of its proximity to Petrified Forest National Park, and the location did not disappoint.
the rooms were spacious, altho I would have moved the desk closer to the door so you could get around the bed easier.
Breakfast waffles seemed to thick but maybe using less batter would work.
LOVED the ramps you could use to roll your luggage up; even though I knows it's a handicap ramp, it worked real well for roll luggage.
View outside the hotel was nice.
Lots of outlets for charging stuff.
Comfortable bed. The hotel is on a main road from the highway leading into the town but it was quiet. It was easy to drive from the hotel to eating places and supermarkets. Holbrook makes a good base for visiting the Petrified Forest National Park.
Cheaper price, earlier in week stayed at $90 hotel because it advertised hot breakfast, coffee and microwave cereal in my opinion isn't hot breakfast, save the extra money and eat in town. $40 dollar difference can buy you a nice breakfast.
The receptionist, Neil, was AMAZING. We had a disabled person in our party and he was so very kind from the very beginning to make sure we were accommodated well. Some of the best customer service I have ever had in my life was from Neil
Once again pool closed .I chose this hotel because of this won t use Quality Inns again .and booking.com don't show photos of hotel pools unless guaranteed open have had this now 4 times .Will try a different booking site I think .
Everything, the bed was comfortable. The room was clean. I did worry about the train that went by, but the room was surprisingly quiet. I would highly recommend this hotel. It's also very cute.
This is an excellent hotel. After a long day out at Petrified Forest we enjoyed the comfortable beds, the nice view, the warm shower, the wonderful breakfast. Would book again.
Heated Indoor Pool was awesome. Other hotels I called in the area with heated pools told me the heater wasn’t working, or the pool was outside & cold. Breakfast was nice.
The hotel and room were clean, comfortable and had almost everything I wanted. I have only one complaint really. Besides that (see below) I can't think of any negatives.
