This fascinating city, on the banks of the Mekong River, features exotic markets, cultural jewels and is home to some of the friendliest people on earth.

The Royal Palace is a striking centrepiece in the centre of Phnom Penh, and is home to the Emerald Buddha and Silver Pagoda. Not far away is the Cambodian Independence Monument that celebrates Cambodia’s sovereignty.

Take a trip on the river at sunset. Visit the Silk Farm.
Take a trip on the river at sunset. Visit the Silk Farm. Be amazed at the TukTuk & Moped traffic & hectic city life. See, but then leave behind, the over-development of high-rise buildings and area around Diamond Island. Eat at Le Langka - great French Restaurant, lovely people. Drink at the bar next door, behind the Cola machine!

We really enjoyed our trip to Phnom Penh, we traveled as a family of 6 and had a wonderful local tuk-tuk driver that managed to fit us all in lol that was truly an experience!! He took us to many places and we were able to experience Phnom Penh in a way we didn't expect which was amazing.
We stayed at the Peninsula Phnom Penh which was great value for money and a beautiful place to come back to at the end of the day. The rooftop pool was fantastic and live music was a wonderful bonus.

Loved this city. So much to do and the people are lovely. Great markets, so many things to do. Huge casinos, shops, restaurants, food stalls, so much history to learn. Fantastic. So easy to get around on foot or by tuk tuk. Don’t miss this city.

It's pretty much a business city.
It's pretty much a business city. For something more cultural consider going to Siem Reap. When traveling within any of the cities in Cambodia, I would recommend using "PassApp." It operates much like Bolt which looks at your current GPS location, and asks where you want to go to. You can then select the mode of transportation. The tuktuks in Cambodia have all been modernized, but are quite small compared with Thailand. They can comfortably fit 2 people and a couple of small suitcases in the back. You might fit 3 people at a stretch. If you select "Rickshaw" it's the old style tuktuk which is basically a trailer hooked to a motorcycle. These are much more expansive and can fit 6 people and a couple of good sized suitcases. Otherwise they have standard passenger cars and SUVs available as well. DO NOT engage a driver directly from the street by flagging them down. You WILL get ripped off. If you use the app, the price is fixed and you won't get ripped off. Another thing to watch out for is most cash machines allow you to received US dollars or Camobian Real. If you select USD, you'll probably get a single $100 bill. There are a lot of fake bills floating around and your $100 might get refused. Also, most of the small vendors don't have the change for $100 so you're stuck. My advice is to receive money on Cambodian Real for the most flexibility. The exchange rate fluctuates wildly, so be sure to check daily and be prepared to do the calculations quickly!
This hotel is an oasis of peace and tranquility yet in the centre of Phnom Penh. Location perfect, in fact everything about the place was perfect. We liked it so much we stayed here 3 times during our trip to Cambodia, using Phnom Penh as a base. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else if we come back to Phnom Penh. The meal in the French restaurant, La Pergola was the best we had in 4.5 weeks. As a hotel resident u get 20% discount. All the staff were outstanding and the breakfast was the best overall through our whole time away.
The staff is so friendly. The staff were very helpful and always willing to help. Rooms are clean. One of the best hotels with reasonable prices you can find in Phnom Penh. This hotel was outstanding, especially the rooftop pool and gym. You can do your gym workout while overlooking the city skyline.
The pool was really nice. The breakfast was good, and I was pretty amazed with the freshly prepared soup noodles.
Short walk out to the main road, and plenty of tuk tuks around.
I will come back, for sure.
welcoming reception n staff soo polite and kind to us,beautiful decoration for our frst honeymoon vacay, with pretty roses on beds lovely decor n flowers.. delicious dinner , variety choices of food breakfast, nice view from infinity pool with top restaurant at roof top, such like 5 star hotel. worth to stay , shampoo n shower grl smell soo good,, i love ery single things bout the hotel, near walking disrand attraction, gud location for u 😍i will come back for sure
Hotel is conveniently located in the city centre, in walkable distance to the Royal palace and Mekong river. There are plenty places with food, bars and markets nearby. Rooms are very nice and clean. Breakfast is huge buffet but expensive. Staff is extremely kind and will help you book tours around the city and wider. They also arranged for my further transportation. They also organize pickup from the airport. I highly recommend this hotel.
Hotel staff Sophia & Bot were amazingly helpful & lovely to communicate with, the hotel is in the centre of many shops, restaurants, bars & right next to "The Royal Palace Of Cambodia" & "The Riverside/Sisowath Quay", it was adequate & I highly recommend other travellers to book this Hotel, the talking parrot is adorable/grumpy but cute, the 2 dogs are funny characters, overall the hotel meet all my needs.
I was very impressed with personalize check in. Speedy check in with the host greeted us personally at the entrance of the building unlike transitional old hotel check in.
The unit is very brand new, fully furnished and warming design. However, it is facing to River Superb view I’ve ever seen!
Definitely my best experience, and will be back to stay again. Highly recommended.
This is a value 3 star property. You get what you pay for plus the staff is very nice and the location is very central and walkable
When people pay less than $40 USD night you need to adjust your expectations for that price point. The other reviews with complaints are not fair to this nice boutique hotel with nice staff. Will be back again when in Cambodia
Pretty good wifi and comfy bed, the room has a TV, a fridge and a kettle. It's quite spacious and located in a close proximity to all the main sightseeing places and points of interest. One more massive advantage that there's a bus company only 50 metres away from the hotel, it's just down the street , over there you can book buses and travel all over Cambodia.
The very helpful staff of this hotel helped make all my time in Cambodia -- not just Phnom Penh -- a pleasure. Kudos to Tom Vichet! This beautifully decorated hotel has comfortable rooms and a very pleasant covered roof top pool. It also has a restaurant well worth sampling for lunch or dinner, not just breakfast.
the setting was divine , very zen , a perfect oasis within the city , it made our time in Phnom Penh . This hotel is a treasure and one of the most unique we have stayed in as we have toured through Southeast Asia the past few months . We upgraded our room and had a spacious suite by the sun pool .
We really liked the location, the pool and sky bar with an awesome view of the city. This was also the only hotel in Vietnam and Cambodia that considered the impact of plastic bottles on the environment by providing a refill option for filtered water.
I have stayed at dozen of hotels in phnom penh. This was on the top of the list of best stays/experiences ever. Staff was very hospitable and there for every need of mine. Thank you so much.
The hotel is just amazing, recently and nicely furnished. Our room was big, comfortable and really clean. Breakfast is continental and good and the location is really close to city centre.
I had a wonderful stay here. Delicious breakfast and huge gym room. The hotel is a bit far from the city centre but it is close to the airport, shopping mall, and grocery stores.
I have visited The Pavilion twice previously with my wife when she lived in Cambodia.
It is my favorite place to stay in PP.
An oasis amongst the beautiful chaos.
