The location is exceptional, and the hosts Claudia and Stefano are very helpful. The setting is peaceful and surrounded by the green fields, forests, hills and valleys of Umbria. The drive up from the main road is beautiful and easy for our rental Fiat. Having our own kitchen, the spectacular views and the intimate connection with nature make this our favorite place to stay in Italy - we have stayed 2 weeks both last year and again this year.

Set in an 18th-century building, Agriturismo Montelovesco is a working farm producing organic fruit and olive oil. It features a garden with BBQ facilities, a swimming pool, and free bikes. Overlooking the garden, uniquely decorated rooms at the Montelovesco are en suite and open on the shared living area with traditional stove and sofas. Some rooms have exposed wooden beams or vaulted ceilings. Apartments are self catering, and rooms can use a shared kitchen. 2 horse stables are available on request. Natural clear-water pools can be found inside the grounds, along the Lanna River, reachable on foot from the property. Umbertide is 6.8 mi away, while Gubbio town center is recahable by car in around 25 minute. Parking at the property is free.
