The full Scottish breakfast was excellent. Our room, although external to the hotel, was very comfortable and warm. The evening meal was also very good, we can recommend the scallops and the venison.

Fantastic staff, very welcoming and thoughtful. The food was unbelievable, would be hard pressed to get better value for money anywhere in Scotland. Bonus that you see the occasional dog on the premises! Would definitely stay again.

We were touring the UK and out of 20 nights, stayed at 19 different properties, some B and B and some hotels. This property was by far hands down the best we stayed at. 10++

Outstanding. Had a fantastic bath! The courtyard garden was just fantastic.
Absolutely amazing dinner in the restaurant worth staying just for this. Who would have guessed food of this quality in such an unassuming location. We were looking for a mid way point to break our journey and we chose the Auldgirth Inn on location and the fact we could eat dinner there. We had no idea how good the food was going to be!
A lovely big bathroom although dated.
Good breakfast included.
Good value for money.
We had a very nice stay at the Auldgirth Inn! Were welcomed kindly! Restaurant was exceptionally closed but got help to have diner which we very much appreciated.
The rooms are spacious and well equiped. Very comfy beds and also the bathrooms are equiped as needed!
Breakfast made to order and very tasty!
For sure a lovely place to stay. Would certainly come back!
First of all I want to thank the staff at the Auldgirth Inn for offering me a refund after explaining that the restaurant would not be serving evening meals, the reviews for food were instrumental in us choosing the Auldgirth.
The staff were brilliant and the food was outstanding. Our room was lovely and romantic. The hotel was easy to find by car and well situated to explore the rest of D&G.
