nothing. they bailed on me last minute. did not open the gate and never picked up the phone. I had to get another place on my own. I had to ask Booking.com to file a complaint because the hostal did not offer a reimbursement either.

We loved the lodge-like atmosphere and great water view from our room, which was very comfortable with a spacious bathroom. Plenty of parking. Communal breakfast was ample and a fun way to meet fellow travelers who provided recommendations on Chiloe sightseeing and interesting insight into life in Chile. Good dinner recommendation.

Good central location, nice common areas, friendly staff who helped explain what to do in the area and booked the penguin tour for me. I stayed in March and there were hardly any other guests so I had the dorm to myself.

Better weather, but can't do anything about that, would have helped with the views. The two Spanish forts are brilliant; we had them to ourselves. The views were amazing and if we had had time we could have spent longer on the little beaches although if was not the season for sun bathing. A frew things to do in town, but we loved the hotel and people.

The cabin spacious and in a fantastic location close to the beach and sea. There was a beautiful deck on which to enjoy sitting out. The washing machine was a fantastic facility for travellers. Best of all was the log burner and all the wood and kindling provided. In March when we were there, the weather had started to cool down, so it was great to be able to light the fire in the evenings.

Owners give the option of a homemade artisanal breakfast, and have meal and lunch options as well. Really liked the home-brewed beats! Easy communication with hosts, very friendly, you could really feel the love they put into their two domes as their project. Thanks a lot for our stay!

Kid heaven! The beach is also ideal for swimming (albeit chilly in Jan 24) and soft sand for sandcastles. Sea kayaking was very peaceful. The staff were lovely and friendly. It was located as a halfway point between Punihuil and the Ferry Port with dozens of small markets and small shops around.
