Philoxenia is perfect for laid-back travelers who are looking for a nice, clean place that offers compact rooms with all essentials to call home during their stay in Corfu.
It has a great location that allows you to enjoy the nearby beach (within a short walk from the hotel) - if you choose to spend time locally. If you choose to explore more of the beautiful Corfu - you can get to pretty much anywhere of interest on the island within a 15 minute to 1 hour drive.
Philoxenia has everything to make the stay a pleasant and relaxing experience: an outdoor pool with a bar (the staff will advertise the bartender’s signature Mojitos - and they are really excellent!) and a restaurant with a solid, simple and delicious menu that offers Greek classics (great meats and fantastic fresh seafood) and yummy wine.
The rooms are modest but nice and clean, and the sea view is a guarantee of a gorgeous sunset every evening. The bathroom in our room was newly renovated which was an extra perk that we appreciated 🙂.
We enjoyed daily breakfast very much as well. It offered lots of choices that included delicious Greek yogurt with a variety of nuts, eggs, freshly baked pastries (including yummy spinach and cheeses pies), feta cheese, olives, fresh vegetables and delicious cappuccinos.
Everyone at the hotel and at the restaurant was committed to making the guests feel special, they were helpful with tips and suggestions and always present and involved. We always felt welcome, our questions were never left unanswered and we thought everyone was very kind, attentive and approachable. We made some wonderful memories during our stay at Philoxenia and will remember everything about it fondly! G

I enjoyed complimentary Wi-Fi in your immaculately clean room, along with free parking facilities. Non-smoking rooms are superbly appointed, ensuring a wonderful stay too. Staff was friendly and kind. I would love to recommended without hesitate.

Although not very close to the old town, the facility itself is surrounded by beautiful garden setting. We got upgraded to bundalow sweet and the view from the room, the facility and everything was excellent. Breakfast was excellent comporable to major metropolitan city five-star hotel. Front desk manager (Helena?) was very hospitable.
The Sunset Hotel Hotel is located in Corfu’s borders, just 1969 feet from Alykes Beach.

The hotel is on the outside of Corfu city center. It has a pool.
It is a good location for someone with a car or motorcycle. There is a taverna 10 minutes away, which was nice to stay.
Maltezos Hotel is a small family-run hotel located in Gouvia, 820 feet from the beach. It provides a large swimming pool with plenty of free sun beds and umbrellas.

Very close to the restaurants, bars, beach and Gouvia marina. Wonderful staff, we arrived several hours before our checkin and they helped us leave our bags in a secure location and get right to enjoying some drinks by the pool while we waited for the room to be ready.
Zefiros Traditional Hotel is a small, traditional family-run hotel, beautifully located right by the beach. The hotel has a romantic, old-fashioned style, and all rooms have sea views.

Very nice little hotel, very well maintained and exceptionally clean. Location is very good, 50 meter from two nice beaches. A couple of good restaurants are within 2 minutes walking. All the staff is very helpful. The breakfast is excellent with freshly squeezed orange juice, very good coffee (different types), and many choices of food- including a healthy one.

Absolutely spectacular scenery and the nicest people at every stop. There isn't much to do but it is the perfect place to lay low and relax. Driving in the area is difficult, but better than the rest of the island.

Ermones is a quiet small beach with sunbeds at one end, and 2 tavernas on the beach. Taverna Maria was our favorite. The beach is pebbly but has lovely clear water, showers, and good snorkelling round the point.

Welcomed by the most lovely man and his mother who told us all the best bits about the area, where to go to get food, local touristy bits and much more. As there was no washing machine the hosts offered to do a wash for us which was very kind. We were delighted to see our room was cleaned every day which was a very nice bonus. Our room had a spectacular view where we could eat dinner and watch the sunset, overall spectacular stay!

Small resort suitable for people who want a quiet holiday in picturesque location. Only regular bus to Corfu town (cheap and easy), so benefits from you having car hire if you want to explore. Limited places to eat, due to a couple of places not surviving Covid, so we spread our custom across four vevues during our stay. Recently opened Salado Pizzeria proved excellent, as did Spyros 97 Taverna (the 30 minute walk to next village for this proved worth it). Enjoyed the 5 minute walk down to Ermones beachfrom our hotel, but hill not great if you have mobility issues. Local eateries very friendly as it's not a big resort they get to recognise you quickly and remember you as individuals. Chilled out holiday we were looking for.

A lovely quiet, natural resort .
A lovely quiet, natural resort . Not much there bit thats what I like so why I chose it. Its just a cluster of hotels built into the hill around the bay. 2 tavernas right on beach- both good but my favourite was Taverna Maria. Great typical Greek food with really friendly staff and excellent value. They will even give you a lift back up the steep hill to the hotel if you want!
If you are looking for action and nightlife, shops etc then not for you but if like me you want a quiet, unspoilt typical Greek place-its perfect.

Perfect place to rest.
Perfect place to rest. You need a car to go around as there's nothing much to do in Ermones. But the sunsets are beautiful. There are two-three restaurants on the beach, and the food is very nice.
Out apartments was clean and comfortable! It has everything you need for a great stay there, all the amenities you need is there. Had a great experience staying on Villa Deza and it's close to small beach you can walk there. Or you have options to drive to other beaches in 15 minutes or so. Hosts was very nice and helpful.
There was a place to park the car, this is a big bonus! And another plus is that across the road from the villa there is a small shop where you can buy water, etc., it's convenient.
Great stay 👍
We loved everything about our stay at Philoxenia! The staff were warm and welcoming from the minute we arrived. The staff are primarily family members who go out of their way to greet us and ensure that our stay is perfect! Our sea-view room was wonderful as pictured. It was clean and comfortable and the view was amazing, especially at sunset! Our stay was relaxing. We can't recommend it enough! The meals were wonderful. And, the pool-side mojitos were the best I've ever tasted! We look forward to returning!
Thanks so much to Takis and the Philoxenia family for making our stay an amazing experience ! The hotel is very nice and clean and very close to the beach. The view is outstanding and the best part is the family, they are always very nice and friendly and trying to help you in anything you need. The pool is really nice and Takis mojitos are the best. We also enjoyed a lot the delicious breakfast and the live music. Thanks so much for everything ! We look forward to be back !
We stayed in the family room with 2 bedrooms, connected with balcony with 2 tables and chairs sets. The kitchen had everything for self cattering stay. Everything was clean and prepared for guests- even tea, coffee, cruasants and local wine. The balcony doors with mosquitos protective net.
Outside nice and clean pool, table tennis and lots of books.
Corfu is around 20 minutes drive, nice beaches also 10-20 minutes drive. We enjoyed those couple of days here.
Unreal value for money. The rooms (we rented 3 of them) were spotless, nicely decorated and equipped with everything we could possibly need. The owners are very kind and also own a mini market and a cafe right next to the rooms, which come handy. We were 6 people in total and we all agreed that we are definitely coming back to Villa Deza next time we visit Corfu. 10/10!
We enjoyed our stay in the hotel very much. The area is super quiet and even if the hotel is not on the beach you can hear the sea when waking up. The breakfasts were nice and timely. The thing that I need to point out is the staff - everybody was super helpful and welcoming which made our stay really enjoyable. We would deffinitelly recommend Philoxenia to everybody.
- very clean and spacious room, sheets and towels changed daily
- well-equipped kitchenette, large fridge ideal for long stays
- very polite hosts and always available
- well-positioned villa with wonderful view of the sea from the balcony, quiet area
- enough private parking for all the rooms
- small beach, minimarkets, restaurants and short hikes nearby
Perfect location, apartment is very clean and has everything we could need, outdoor seating and views from the balcony were great. Beds were very comfortable. Garden was very nice. Spiros is very helpful, friendly and welcoming, he gave us many advice for restaurants and beaches. We felt very welcome here and had a very comfortable stay. I strongly recommend!
Great studio with everything you need to self-cater. Kitchenette is small but well-stocked. Beautiful views over Ermones. I travelled by bus and it is very close to the bus stop, and can walk or take the bus to Glifada Beach if you don't have a car (though it would definitely be easier with a car).
The villa is located in a quiet area, near ermones beach. It has a beautiful garden and a lot of parking space. The rooms are clean and comfortable for the price they offer. It was a plasure to meet Fotini( the house lady), as she was very communicative, polite discreet and helpful in everything.
We booked for only one night, but enjoyed the stay a lot. Nice view from the balcony and garden. There are sunbeds and hammocks in the garden. Very nice owner. The mosquito net on the balcony door is a real asset on Corfu. We slept great, the whole night without mosquitos.
We were very impressed that the room was cleaned everyday. The view is astonishing with very beautiful sunsets. Staff was friendly and always asking if everything is well. Clearly we will come back in this place when we will visit Corfu again.
very nice sea view from the balcony; strategic position to reach the beaches on the south-western side of Corfu (generally speaking, good position for every site in Corfu). Friendly and helpful staff! Good family-run restaurant onsite too
Excellent accommodation in beautifully serene surroundings. There is a small shop just across the road. The room was spick and span, hospitality warm, good WiFi connection, international TV channels to catch up on the news.
Perfect location, quiet and peaceful neighborhood, close to beautiful beaches and Corfu town. The apartment is clean and good equipped. Host is very helpful, he recommended us many places everyone should visit!
