Amazing open air bathroom from the deluxe bungalow. The resort is nice and very peaceful, each bungalow has a private sitting area in front that is very nice. The staff is super friendly and the main eating covered terrace is very nice. The food was very good but we would have appreciated some SriLankan food instead of Italian. Super easy to arrange Kite Surfing lessons. We loved the morning yoga lessons, the quiet and the access to massages.

Majestic Beach Retreat, hotel in Kalpitiya

Featuring private beach-front, bungalow-styled accommodations surrounded by acres of coconut plantation. The property has two private air-conditioned villas.

It was absolutely peaceful. Which is exactly what I was looking for. The very best best thing is the staff. They absolutely spoiled me with the most delicious Sri Lankan food I have ever had. They really wanted to take care of me like I was their favorite child. The pool is gorgeous, and again so serene. I loved the fact that their two dogs were very well cared for and completely healthy. Honestly, this is not a common thing.

We were very disappointed with the dulux room which we were initially allocated. The were 4 beds in a double room. It was very dirty, rusted chairs, stained table, badly stained curtains and dirty bathroom. Pictures were sent to the owner and he upgraded us the next day to another building which were much better with a cost of £30 extra daily fro the 2 rooms we had booked. The place itself is in the middle of nowhere and is accessed by a dirt and very bouncy road. No snorkelling or swimming could be enjoyed in the muddy‘lagoon’

Beautiful beaches, almost empty because it is not the season. We spent only two days but to explore all at least 3 four days are necessary. As for food not much options were available and did not see any well functioning restaurants in town. The resorts have their own restaurants but everything looks pretty basic due to low tourist count I guess these days

beautiful, quiet and almost untouched on the beaches it was like being on a desert island but with some creature comforts. don't expect to walk to too many places for drinks and restaurants as most places are resorts and there are only a few beach bars in a couple of areas. do the ocean activities, and definitely learn to kite surf!!!!! its amazing.

The place is really far away from everything else, so it's important to stay here a while. The wonderful thing about the place is that basically there is nothing but a beach and a lagoon, perfect for kitesurfing. If you have a diving license you can also see the reef.

I recently stayed at Arasi Resort and had a fantastic time! The location was breathtaking and the staff were friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay and made me feel right at home with their laid-back, friendly attitude. The accommodation was clean, spacious, and had a lovely view of the ocean. The stunning sunset views were unlike I have ever seen before. The atmosphere was so relaxing and serene, and I felt completely rejuvenated during my stay. I’ll for sure be back for a longer stay.

Rooms were spacious cabanas with outdoor toilet/shower, TV, Wi-Fi, AC, clean linings and super comfy bed, on-site restaurant with an amazing kitchen staff that will go out of their way to accommodate. Small little restaurants nearby in case you salivate for something different. Beach is nearby instead of beachfront, but only a 50m walk. They actually can take a credit card but the system is hit or miss. Kiteboarding is paid thru this staff but this establishment has no equipment or instructors. They hire next door local legend.

Choosing to stay there during our initial days in Sri Lanka was a wise decision, offering immediate relaxation and peace. The property's well-maintained exterior featured a spacious garden, serene lagoon, and a nearly private beach on the opposite side. Borrowable kayaks added to the experience. The food was a highlight, with every detail considered in its preparation, especially the delicious dinners and breakfasts, along with refreshing smoothie bowls. The attentive staff further enhanced our stay.

Amazing location right at the beach. The water was brownish but for swimming it was fine. The kite surf was well organised. The food in the restaurant is ok (breakfast was the best) but don't expect authentic sri lankan food. Drinks (especially water) were overpriced and didn't come at all or an hour after you ordered. But in general a great place to hang out and stay for a few days.

The staff is really nice and helpful, I had a good time staying in this hotel! It is literally on the beach and you can see the numerous kite surfers not so far away. I did my scuba diving license in the diving center just across the street and there are some beautiful locations to dive. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood and totally worth the price

Beautiful whimsical details with a rustic tropical beach vibe, and extremely helpful and attentive staff. In house chef cooking made to order delicious Sri Lankan dishes. Just the place to get away from it all. We ended our 2 week trip here and it was the perfect R&R. Spent our last day on the water with the Dolphins.

The location is just at the beach, we had lovely see view from our room. The place is very quiet - we liked that a lot. We could launch our kites just Infront of the hotel. They have place to clean your kite gear as well. The staff were amazing and were organizing anything we asked for. Food was great as well.
