This was my second stay, related to my wife’s open heart surgery…Demetrius, the manager, and his staff were compassionate and understanding…they have good hearts…Marriot should be proud to have them on the Marriot team…

Cambridge is beautiful, a fascinating place, but we were running around for several work events and didn't see much. VERY congested, so we relied on Lyfts to get around. But, so much to see, packed with beautiful historic architecture. Lots of trendy food places (often a little strange).

Cambridge is an easy, safe and picturesque place to walk around. The streets are clean, the parks are beautifully maintained and there is stunning historic architecture, as well as quaint shops and eateries everywhere. We particularly enjoyed seeing the beautiful Memorial Hall. It's a pity visitors can't look inside, into the Annenberg Hall dining area, but we appreciate that the Harvard students may not like an audience whilst eating : ). The Harvard University of Natural History is fantastic and the Glass Flowers exhibit is a must-see! Being a rower, I enjoyed seeing the beautiful Weld Boathouse and Newell Boathouse and watching crews row up and down the Charles River. If you love books, The COOP bookstore is well worth a visit and if you enjoy ice-cream, I would highly recommend getting a Taiyaki (Japanese ice-cream) from Taiyaki NYC in Church Street. The ramen at Boston Ramen at 24 Holyoke Street was delicious and I would highly recommend grabbing a waffle and coffee from the food truck parked in the Harvard Science Center Plaza. If you're going into Boston, I would highly recommend the Boston Tea Party Ships and museum experience (an excellent interactive, re enactment experience), having a ride on the beautiful Greenway Carousel and walking through the Boston Common, seeing the 'Make way for ducks' statue and, for the 'Cheers' tv series fans, visiting the Cheers bar.

Comfy room, clean and modern with friendly staff.
Comfy room, clean and modern with friendly staff. Booked in advance, was quoted $186 tax included. But, at check-in I was notified that it cost $25 per day, per parking spot and a $75 fee that would be returned (5 to 7 days) after checkout. Plus they wanted $20 per person for breakfast. Total: $326 for 2 people for one night. Nice place, but won't spend that to stay there again.

It's in a good location for Cambridge, and even not far from Boston amenities. It is NOT right near Harvard campus, though, if that's what you're looking for ... but not far.
The facility is fine - an inn, not a hotel, but with room amenities of a hotel.

If you walk to Harvard, you can enjoy watching red leaves on the way.
As Harvard square is a walking distance, shopping, sightseeing and joining conference are very convenient. You can enjoy Continental and sophisticated atmosphere because the University of Harvard is very near.

Cambridge is much nicer than Boston, and the Harvard Campus...
Cambridge is much nicer than Boston, and the Harvard Campus is wonderful to walk around, with big trees and lots of open spaces. There are good restaurants too - we really enjoyed The Druid Irish pub. There is also a lot to see and do. Two days was too short to go to everything we wanted to visit.
The Kimpton Marlowe hotel its beautiful! The lobby, the rooms, the bar, the restaurant, ALL of it. I wish they sell the fragrance they use in the lobby, it smells luxurious and divine! The location is unbeatable. We went to Boston to spend a few days with our son and his college (Hult business school) is at 10 minutes walking distance, it also has a mall at 2 minutes walking distance. The mall is called Cambridgeside where u can find H&M, ATT, TMobile, Bank of America, Tjmaxx, Cvs, super convenient. The hotel is pet friendly which i love!!
The rooms were well appointed and clean. The addition of a cafe table and window nook seating was useful. The hotel is well located with walking access to MIT and walking/bus/T/car access to Harvard. It was very easy to find metered street parking, and you do not pay between about 6 pm and 8 am. Download the Cambridge parking app, and you can add two hours on your street parking as soon as you wake up. There are three or four bakeries within a three-block walk for morning breakfast, including a Japanese bakery inside the H Mart.
We have stayed at this hotel several times and have never been disappointed. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. The location is great--right across the street from the T train station in Porter Square. There is a coffee shop right on the block and a shopping center across the street with some places to eat, Target, CVS, and a cute book store. The hotel is an affordable option if you are traveling to Cambridge, and I highly recommend it.
The best thing was the location in Cambridge followed by the staff who were extremely friendly and accommodating. The main drawback was the size of the room which was very small for two people, but we made it work for us. There is no facility for breakfast and no bar. However the staff do provide ice and can refrigerate wine and other drinks for you.
The lounge area is pleasant and there is a computer room and free Wi-fi.
The room was fantastic. The decor throughout the whole hotel is beautiful, tasteful, interesting.
Seeing a signed picture of John F. Kennedy made me very aware of the connection to the past that can be found in the area, together with the sense of vital youth that pervades Cambridge,
I also loved all the reminders that the building used to be a fire station from the "Do Not Disturb" signs to the coasters in the room
The location - near Harvard - was super. I stayed a couple of nights while using Harvard's library and it was perfect. Like the ability to make coffee or tea in a little shared kitchen area. Hosts were good about where the small nearby grocery was, and there was a small fridge in my room. There's also a Starbucks nearby. Friendly place - reminds me of British b&b's.
The breakfast choice was amazing. Marc who runs the inn is most personable and friendly. If you have reason to be near MIT this place is great. If not, there is still Marc. He calls himself the innkeeper but I secretly call him Mr Thénardier – but he does not charge "3% percent for sleeping with the window shut"!. Would definitely stay there again!
Perfect location for visiting Harvard. Beautiful area located in Cambridge. Short walk from the T line, which is perfect for getting around to other areas or even into Boston itself. Loved that the building was authentic to a New England experience. Rooms were basic and small. Would definitely stay again. Good value for money.
Super location right near Central Square and a short walk to several key bus routes. Located at MIT, and a nice 20 min walk to Harvard. And Cambridge is so pretty. Hotel is updated and seemed to be managed well. Love the Keurig machine in the room and the water bottle filler near the ice machine.
It is conveniently located right across the street of the Porter Sq station. There are some stores around the station. The hotel seems quite new. It is clean and convenient. The room was quiet. The room fee was not outrageously expensive compared to other hotels near MIT or Harvard.
I liked the fact that it was a home away from home. I was with my family and it was perfect for our 14 day stay as we could cook and live like we are home. the laundry facility where perfect. the gym and the hotel is not far from the Boston Mall and a free shuttle is available.
Excellent in every way. Professional and friendly service. Good rooms. Love the firehouse history. Breakfast was the best "American buffet breakfast" I have had outside of a 5 star hotel. Best bacon I've had in usa
This rooms are modern and comfortable. This hotel has fantastic views over the Charles and towards Boston. They also have a well equipped gym and a small swimming pool.
The hotel is located very well if you have business in Cambridge. It's clean, room bed and bath a great, however my room had a little special odor when I came in.
