This is really an exceptional place - just a few guest rooms in a place that has once been a monastery. The rooms have been nicely and tastefully adapted and furnished. Beds are comfy. Breakfast is rich and excellent. We greatly enjoyed the host's tour of the house, including the church of the former monastery, and the large garden with its imaginative surprises.
Featuring garden views, Borgo dei Sapori in Cividale del Friuli provides accommodations, a garden, and a bar. There's a private entrance at the farm stay for the convenience of those who stay.

The room was a beautifully decorated apartment. Correne and Joshua asked what type of breakfast we preferred and it was perfect! There was an outdoor patio to sit out in. It felt like a very homey comfortable place after 3 weeks of hiking the Alpe Adria Trail. Highly recommend to others!
A calm delightful town. It deserves to be better known in the area. The atmosphere was very relaxing to walk around. On Mondays most shops are closed. We experienced the lively café culture on Tuesday morning. Loads of cyclists passing through. The monastery is exceptionally interesting. We bought food in the supermarket and cooked for ourselves. Would be happy to visit again.

It has a small-town feel, with a pleasant old-town feel. It is also highly recommended for hikers due to its proximity to the Alps.
I can recommend the restaurant Ristorante Pizzeria al Cervo D'Oro - and not just for the traditional Italian food

Cividale is a truly charming little town with wonderful medieval streets, buildings, squares and museums. It's a quiet, historic town and ideal as a base to discover the Friuli region. Udine is just a short ride away, the Slovenian border only a few kms away. If you are a wine enthusiast like myself you have small wine bars around the town serving the delicious local Friulian wines and there are many vineyards just a short drive away. There is a good choice of restaurants serving the local cuisine. Definitely a place to revisit.

Cividale is a town founded by Julius Caesar and it was the capital of the longobards in Italy and the Patriarch of Aquileia so it has a long and interesting history. There's a great museum has extensive coverage of the history go Cividale going back to pre roman times and up to the Hapsburgs. The museum has extensive displays of longobard artefacts found in burial sites. If you go out at night you will see that Cividale also has excellent restaurants and cafes and a vibrant night life. The historic precinct of the city is vast and includes many churches, an abbey, the famous Longboard chapel, historic homes. Also nearby there is a museum of the Great War. There is so much to see here. Also see the nearby abbey of Castelmonte and if you drive just 25 kilometres to the east you will be in the famous Collio wine region where some of Italy's most exceptional wines are produced.

Dai Toscans is in a great location in the center of town with free parking just a few minutes walk away. Our room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We had a small balcony to sit and watch the world go by on the street below. Breakfast was great, including ham, cheese, and eggs. Mauro is a charming and helpful host. He told us of his motorcycle adventures all over the world. Cividale del Friuli is a beautiful and fascinating town with lots of Longobard history to explore. I highly recommend Dai Toscans
We were very pleasantly surprised about this hotel. The room was spacious with very comfortable beds, air-condicioner. As we were travelling with kids, the owner kindly offered an extra room for kids free of charge. I have never seen a bathroom cleaner than this one :) The owner has thought about an every single detail to make the guests feel comfortble. There is water, tee, coffee free of charge. Restaraunts are just 200m away as well as shops. It was excellent! Highly recommended!
It was just one night stay on the way to southern italy. For this purpose it is excellent- in the middle of city, parking for free on own permises, the breakfast ( really tasty and large choice of meals) is served by the owner, who is really kind. Shared bathroom and toilet is no problem as there are just 3 rooms on the floor. Really nice stay. The city itself is really worth at least one day visit
We spent two nights in this lovely hotel. Everything was perfect!!! Friendly and very kind staff - we felt like visiting our relatives, cozy and clean room, great location. We also experienced best local and very tasty breakfast served on the terrace with the city view - what a wonderful experience :-) Hope we will get back someday, we really recommend Locanda Al Pomo d'Oro 👌👌👌
We had amazing stay in b&b Ergira apartment. Our room was well equipped, clean, comfortable and cozy. Breakfast was delicious. And what is most important, hosts are so kind, helpful and hospitable that we were feeling there as in home. Stay in b&b Ergira is great opportunity to visit small and charming city - Cividale del Friuli :) We highly recommend this place.
Excellent hotel for a city trip to Cividale. Very nice owner who explained to us everything about Cividale del Friuli and surroundings. There are 4 rooms in a newly renovated little house at the beginning of the old town next to the famous bridge. Perfect location for cycling tours. It was allowed to store our two road bikes (with bicycle gloves) in the facility.
Beautiful and spacious apartment near the city center. Cividale del friuli is a very nice town. Everything you need is close by. Bautiful cafes, restaurants, bakeries, river, supermarket etc. We travel with a dog and he was welcomed everywhere without any problem. I will definitely want to go back. Thank you.
Nice hotel located in historic place with amazing view on the valley and Alps. Excellent restaurant offers menu prepared from fresh, local ingredients at the highest culinary level at reasonable prices. Ideal place to short rest or longer stay to explore local attractions and wineries.
