We thought Sarria would have a lot to offer since it is a major hub for Pilgrims. The historical section is so charming and has a handful of fun restaurants and hostels. Wish it had more boutique—like hotels b/c, otherwise, Sarria seems to lack charming housing options. There is a great store at the bottom of the hill as you are about to ascend up the infamous stairs to the historical section and out of town on with your walk. They have anything one would need for the Camino and there is a great pharmacy across the street as well.

Room on the ground floor was very spacious, bright.
Room on the ground floor was very spacious, bright. Lovely hot water, clean towels and toiletries provided. If doing the Camino walk id definitely recommend this place.
Great location and friendly staff.
From the check in to the check out the experience was amazing. The staff and owner were extremely friendly and courteous. We were amazed with the cleanliness and every detail the facility has to offer. It’s owner Eloy not only took his time to provide excellent recommendations for visiting Sarria but also great recommendations on how to do El Camino de Santiago. He also shared his experience and the history of Baixo a Lua Rooming. Definitely a place that we want to be back and recommend. Thanks Eloy for your hospitality.
The Pensión could not have been in a better location. It was right on the Camino path leading out of Sarria. The managing agent was amazing. She spent a considerable amount of time to help us to get accommodation for the next 4 nights as everything was booked out. She also explained where we could buy some groceries as it was Sunday and most places were closed.
The albergue scores 10 out of 10 for the Camino pilgrim. A wonderful country hotel with lovely atmosphere and good food and kind staff, actively frequented by the local Spanish people, mixed with a welcoming comfortable pilgrim albergue, at a top location just beyond Sarria. All good!
Ideal location, immaculate, and great attention to detail. For example, even though it is a nice hotel, they still understood that pilgrims want to wash their smelly clothes and provided a drying rack that hung easily out of the window. Perfectly sized mini fridge stocked with water.
Ricardo the owner was extremely friendly and accommodating. He gave us a wonderful restaurant recommendation, and directions to an ATM that doesn’t charge fees. The hotel is gorgeous with simple but beautiful furnishings. I definitely recommend this hotel.
This is a unique albergue/hotel directly on the Camino de Santiago. The owners/staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Food was available and excellent. Will definitely stay here again next Camino. Bypass the Sarria madness staying here!
The La Cason de Sarria was our favorite accommodation on the Camino de Santiago. The refurbished old buildings were lovely. Wish we could have been there when the flowers arrived. Marcella, the owner, was very personable and helpful.
Hotel Serano is in top condition. It's right when you enter Sarria, so if you expect to have sore feet, you don't have to go that far. Opposite the hotel is a super good local restaurant with a menu of the day and really good tapas.
A lovely clean and comfortable stay - close to the bus station if travelling by bus from Santiago to Sarria - there are several bars and restaurants nearby and it's just a few minutes walk to the start of the camino from there.
Very comfortable room to stay in. It was properly equipped for our needs. It was easy to walk across the road from the station to the hotel with our luggage.
Great restaurant for dinner.
Beautiful wooden cabin
