The rooms are exceptionally clean and well-appointed.
It might be noted that they speak only Spanish. With my elementary Spanish, we communicated just fine

Hannah was the most amazing host. She warmly greeted us upon arrival and made us feel at home. We loved meeting other guests in the shared kitchen and common outdoor spaces. Our kids LOVED pool time. She pointed us to activities and shared aloe with my young son when he got a sunburn. Just lovely humans and a great vibe. We will back again for sure.

Somewhat secluded beach area about 15 minutes away from Samara. Great for couples or small families wanting to get away from it all. Playa Carrillo is a beautiful calm beach. There aren't many shops and limited choices for restaurants in the immediate area, but that's part of the charm of the town.

All was great.
All was great. This is my fifth time in Carrillo and the beach and sorroundings always clean and with safety environment. Getting to Carrillo is very easy, no chance to get lost. One of my favorites spots in Guana!

The beach is quiet and beautiful.
The beach is quiet and beautiful. There are no restaurants, but you can grill, if you have the patience. In the town, there are few restaurants, with delicious food (I highly recommend Hula Jungla). If you need to use the bus, you can take it every hour.

Perfect if you want to get away from the touristic beaches...
Perfect if you want to get away from the touristic beaches like Samara that are dedicated to American tourists. Beware of the crocodiles though, we were told a family lives in the river next to the beach and sometimes, when the weather is stormy, you can see them swimming in the ocean :-DLaurenceFrance

The staff was exceptionally friendly and felt like family. The breakfast was delicious, casada, eggs fresh fruit and good coffee. Our room had a fantastic deck to hang out on and watch the monkeys come by and sit in the trees right outside our accommodation. The bed was extremely comfortable as well. Went for a run each morning along the coast. Travelling & sight seeing was made easier when I rented a car so I would recommend that.
