Incredible views, host was very kind and helpful, location is a bit off the coastal roads, but not a long drive. If you're looking for something a bit more quiet, definitely give this a second look!
There are also great restaurants and a grocery shop at a walking distance.

Beautiful property with wonderfully kind staff! The room had an unobscured view of the ocean (see photos) and the property is extremely quiet because it is away from the road. No street or city noise whatsoever.
The friendly staff accommodated late check-in and educated us on potential sites to visit by going over a map of the local region. They also helped coordinate a private taxi on the day of our departure.
The breakfast included seasonal fruit (melon, apples, peaches, kiwi, tomatoes, cucumber), fresh pastries, honey, Nutella, yogurt, cereal, and sliced ham and salami (see photos). The dinner menu was decent and our food was delicious (grilled fish, local potatoes, salad, and baked ziti with vegetables – see photos).
The property is a ~1.8 mile hike away from the *beginning* of the Path of the Gods trail. And in the other direction, it is about 1,500 stairs down to the Fiordo di Furore.

Tania was a great host, helped us a lot with everything we needed.
The apartment was clean, in a great location near a coffee bar, a minimarket and a restaurant, and not far from Amafli.
The balcony is also beautiful and fun to hang out in.
Everything was excellent, we highly recommend staying at the apartment.

Gorgeous location — really close to the path of the gods hike, and the food was excellent. The whole property was lovely nestled into the mountain side, with elegant homey touches, and the staff were very friendly!

Quiet little town just 20 minutes by car from Amalfi.
Quiet little town just 20 minutes by car from Amalfi. Close enough to Fiordo Di Furore that you can walk from there, although it can be a thought walk depending on where you start from, especially on the way back up.

We liked the location, as we had our own transport and could drive to other areas with beaches and shopping, it was so nice to come back to Furore which is perfect authentic Amalfi Coast Italy as the location is absolutely beautiful, inspiring and relaxing. Could have stayed a little longer.

This is in a great location.
This is in a great location. It was more busy than I expected and driving around is tricky with the windy narrow roads. You will need to be brave to go out driving Olin the dark to get to restaurants at night.
The walk down the Fjord 600 steps is a great exercise for anyone

The hidden beach of Fiordo was just fantastic.
The hidden beach of Fiordo was just fantastic. We reached it by climbing down about 800 steps on the first day which was quite an amusing adventure.
Second day we went by bus to save our leg muscles !
The beach was so enjoyable with panoramic scenes of the bridge on top and the mountain in the back.
The water was so fresh and the beach boy provided comfortable chaise-long and drinks.
At night we had a delicious dinner at Fico D'India restaurant on top of the mountain, quire stylish with a great view of the sea during the day time.

Furore has beautiful views.
Furore has beautiful views. The location is about 400 meters above sea. There is not alot of activities so u must take the bus train or ferry. If you like more night life and activities then I would stay in one of the bigger towns like Almafi, Positano or Sorrento but if you like the peace and quiet and don't mind a little extra travel. This is good because keep in mind the bigger towns will be more expensive.

You do need a car to stay there - we did.
You do need a car to stay there - we did. Bus service not far from the hotel if you want to leave your car. Luigi helped as planning our day trips - excellent place to stay and explore the area. Will definitely recommend to stay here.
The hotel is the best on the Amalfi coast, we believe so. From value-money viewpoint undoubtedly, though. It has direct access to the sea, which is a unique feature in its category. Lots of beautiful romantic terraces. Nice little pool. And the owner, and the stuff… they will do absolutely anything to make you feel good. Practically cook the food for you you agree on. For us vegetarians that was a total bless. Will definitely return. BTW, don’t miss the Gods’ Path trail, you can climb up to its start right from next to the hotel.
Paola met us at the gate and gave of us a tour of the property and such a warm welcome! We felt at home all week. She even helped us plan a few activites and had lists of places to eat and the hours of different businesses in town (pharmacy, grocery, etc.) Furore is PERFECTLY located less than 20 min from Amalfi. We loved staying in quiet peaceful Furore and using the Amalfi port to ferry to and from other cities for day trips. It was so easy! I would absolutely return here if we go back to the Amalfi Coast!
Very cute building with very cute terraces. Easy to find and to access. Clean and bright rooms with modern and simple decorations. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast. Very nice staff! Great views on down the Amalfi coast.
For parking, at least in the low season, and when you have a small car, it's easy to do so in front of the hotel on the car road without any particular issue. I wouldn't recommend parking there with any normal sized/ bigger sized car.
Pino and the staff at this family run hotel are all wonderful. We stayed in 5 different hotels in Italy last week and this location really stands out. Pino helped arrange a scooter and our ride back to the airport. Always with a smile. The property is really beautiful. Definitely make sure you book a room with a balcony. It's well worth it. Restaurant was delicious. A scooter is recommended if you have experience and are skilled.
We had a lovely 5 days at La Locanda, the location is beautiful I would recommend if you have a car, good onsite car parking. The restaurant has the best meals we had on the Amalfi coast, the room was nice always cleaned and sheets changed, the highlight of our stay was the staff, Luigi and Luigi are so friendly, the car park attendant ( sorry forgot his name ) was so nice and friendly. The staff really make this hotel 10/10.
Firstly, we liked the attitude of the staff, I think it is the main power of this hotel. Guests are very well treated and cared about. Secondly, breakfast and restaurant food is great (lot of choice for seafood lovers). We are not specialists in local cuisine but we tried as many courses as possible and they were tasty and fresh. Thirdly, view outside the window and from the restaurant is great, we enjoyed it very much.
Everything was perfect, the location was so nice. The decoration so typical and cute. Nicoletta and her mother Sarah was so kind. When we arrived we were so happy to find some aperitifs cake and Spritz on the fridge and Sarah’s torta caprese was so good. We had a real crush on this location. You can go directly by a really pleasant walk to Fiordo si Furore. And the view of the appartement was fabulous!
Le Marelle is located high up on the mountains in Furore with an excellent infinity view of the ocean! The hotel staff is simply amazing, one of the kindest and the friendliest people I have come across. Absolutely no doubt about it! My room was very nice, clean and comfortable with the ocean view, very beautiful! The breakfast was simply amazing and overall a really really nice place to stay!
A stunning family run sanctuary tucked away in the more quieter hills of Furore. Really friendly staff and lovely home cooked food with wine made from their own a small grape production. The views from our room and dinner/ breakfast table were breath taking. Fest Really felt cozy and At and home here… thank you so much for making us feel welcome! We had a beautiful and memorable stay 🧡
One of the best things about San Giacomo was Imberto! The most helpful and kind host, so sweet, can’t say enough about him. The property is charming and humble, tucked away in the sleepy farming town of Furore which is welcome respite from hectic Almafi and Positano. And our room had the jacuzzi bath!
The views are stunning, Furore is quiet and quaint.
The flat was as described and very convenient for the bus stop and small shop.
Advice to future holiday-makers:
- Fiorda di Furore is definitely worth a visit but the descent/ascent is physically demanding. Be prepared for lots of stairs!
- bus tickets are purchased at the bar near the shop, which opens at 9am. If you need an early bus plan ahead.
I have been in this hotel ,was very nice, breakfast in a restaurant very tasty which lovely views!!!!cleaning in a hotel ever day .If you a have same transport or scooter can go easy to Amalfi and Positano plus in Furore was amazing beach 🏖I’ll recommend this hotel because it’s working very nice staff at reception and in a restaurant!!!!
We loved this hotel! Great view and loved the terrace with the spa. The spa never heated up but still lovely to sit up there. We also had a private balcony. The breakfast pastries were way too good- we ate them all. They have a restaurant on the property and it was fantastic for dinner. Now one of my favorites in Southern Italy!
Kind staffs, Delicious breakfast, Clean room and beds, beautiful views.
Everything was perfect for my vacation
I will come back to this hotel in the near future and I strongly recommend to travellers who will come to Amalfi area.
It will be the best choice !!!
Beautiful views from our room! Angelo was a great host, made a great breakfast every morning whilst we enjoyed the great views. Great restaurant nearby with the best wine as it's local to Furore. Recommend 100%!
