Peaceful lace to stay with lovely white sand beaches and warm sea which is easy to swim in.
Depending on where you stay on the island, (there are lots of small beaches all good, ) will depend on what services are available. since where we stayed had several resorts we ate a a different one each night. Bear in mind though this is an island and all food supplies etc are delivered from the main land so choices are limited.
although you can hire a Motorbike we found that the taxi worked well for us we did an island tour by taxi but you can also do it by boast. Most beaches have a taxi station. There is only one village in Koh Samed near the main pier.

Limited attractions unlike some other islands I have visited. Taxis are quite expensive but easy to walk to bars snd restaurants via the beach Beautiful island and wonderful beaches but plastic washed up with the tide every day. Helpful friendly people everywhere.
Ferries are very busy especially at weekends.

This is a small island with lots of small beaches, we stayed at one but visited others. We did a half island tour by Taxi. This is a great way to see the other beaches and some of the scenic spots. The taxi costs between 1,000 - 20000 bahts so its best to go as a group to reduce the individual costs/ We also did a boat tour of nearby islands with snorkeling and lunch. Need some energy to keep getting on and off the boat..but a good way to experience the islands.
Be aware you have to pay to enter the island as its national park and to visit other islands there is additional cost so hang on to your tickets if you intend to visit other isalnds.

The beaches were beautiful, and water is clear lovely for swimming. The only disappointment was the rubbish you saw away from the resorts as it’s a National Trust island they should use the money they collect from visitors in making it look cleaner.

The island felt too crowded and too empty at the same time... Felt very tourist-y, even compared to Bangkok. More expensive, a lot of people. Even though it is a "small" island, it is not easy to walk anywhere, especially if staying at a hotel further away from busy location. I would recommend Rayong!

It is a beautiful beach and a great atmosphere.
It is a beautiful beach and a great atmosphere. There where a good mix of families, singles couples. The fire show was one of the highlights from my month in Thailand. It was a spur of the moment trip from the Hard Rock where I was staying in Pattaya. A great place to stay by the way. Sunset was amazing, quaint down town area. Just make sure you time getting to ferry or you might have to wait two hours for the next ferry which was very inexpensive. If you do misss it there is a speed boat always available for 1,500 baht.
Our family have been returning to this wonderful resort for years. The resort is in a great location, the staff are always friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. We have stayed in different types of rooms over the years and all have been great. You are right on the beach, step outside the room and walk a few hundred metres (or less) and you are on the beach. The restaurant is also really good, delicious food and not crazy expensive.
Excellent location, only 10 steps from the beach. Nice and quiet, stylish rooms, super clean.
There's a little shared balcony in the front for a smoke, and a cafe downstairs with great coffee, cakes and a small breakfast menu.
The room comes with an umbrella, beach flipflops, beach bag and beach towels.
You can use the beach chairs of Lima bar on the beach. We booked for 3 but ended up staying 5 nights. Would 100% recommended this place.
Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! It was nice that they included breakfast. The business owners on this stretch of the island collaborate well so we were able to get into the sea from the neighbouring hotel (magnificent bioluminescence). The accommodation was right on the beach with a great view. The staff is very thoughtful; they lit mosquito coils outside our door and were flexible with breakfast timings when we were there.
Quiet location. The ferry port and the main street are on the other side of the island. There are no loud bars or anything like that nearby. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Good services.
The accommodation was nice and clean.
The pool area is ok. Nice sea view. The beach was right next to the hotel. Hotel guests receive a free sun lounger and towel on the beach.
All good. The staff is very friendly and helpful! By booking.com they were sold out for the whole period we wanted to stay and then in a quick call the manager sorted it out and then we could stay longer. The architecture is gorgeous, the hotel is very close to a hidden beach hahaha which is quieter than others but it's fantastic! Their breakfast exceeded our expectations!
the property is actually much better than it looks on picture. Right on the beachfront at a bay with gentle waves. The bungalow is equipped with all the necessities, Food at the Restaurant is quite tasty. They even change the dishes for buffet breakfast each day, so you won’t be eating the same stuff over and over again if you are staying there for multiple nights.
The staff are very friendly and extermelly helpful. The location was amazing, a small number of hotels and if you stay outside school holidays a very quiet beach. Kayaks and paddle boards are free to take out, which I made great use of. The rooms are comfortable, clean and the aircon excellent. Reserve a table on the beach for a very relaxing evening meal.
Hotel was very well run - everything was clean and very well organised.
Hotel was a few metres from a beautiful beach. Beach towels were provided free of charge and there was also some free canoes and surfboards to use.
Breakfast was good and plentiful.
Room was of adequate size, be'd nice and soft and housekeeping kept it very clean for us.
the room and location are so beautiful. it is very clean. it was quiet other than ocean waves pounding at night. comfy bed. pillow fluffy. cafe drinks were decent. good places to eat on the beach Including winkks and the restaurant Parat? on the left facing ocean. very aesthetic place overall.
We didn’t eat at the hotel as we were only there for one night.
Location of the hotel is right on the beachfront with a little bar and bungalows for accommodation.
Views were stunning and only a short 15/20 min stroll from the pier.
Minnie the owner and her husband were lovely !
The location was amazing, right on the beach and in walking distance to the main bars/restaurants. The restaurant was great for snacks in the day and tasty pizzas. The staff were excellent and very attentive. We also loved the size and style of the rooms - overall, a great stay!
Very good location just in the end of the beach away from hussle .
Just on the beachfront.
Secound floor has big balcony facing the ocean with beautiful breeze.
Property has also nice cocktail bar and Juice bar.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was superb, right on the beach, the pizzas were brilliant, & the bar was open until midnight (most other bars on the same beach close at 10:30pm).
Beautiful room, excellent location, and incredible vibes. Breakfast was delicious, the tables and chairs on the beachfront were superb. Staff were kind and helpful. Everything was enjoyable and easy.
Cheap price, kind staff, free scooter.
I reccomend this hotel for people that are on a budget, and just want a place to sleep, don't expect a nice view or room. It's as basic as it gets
All the facilities in the hotel are exceptional. Enormous and comfortable bed. Great sea view and location (11 mins walk from the place you get off the boat). Caring and helpful staff.
