If You have 24 hours in Kampong Cham, You should visit Wat Hanchey (20 km to the north), a nice Wat with great views over the Mekong.
Wat Nokor, a few kilometers west from town is an ancient temple, which is still in use today. It is more “real” and alive than other ancient sites in the country.
Visit the French Lighthouse at sunset: great views over the city’s skyline (open 24 hours, no entrance fee, but the stairs to the top are not suitable for people with fear of heights.)

It's very calm and relaxed compared to Phnom Penh and therefore makes for the perfect escape! There is enough to do with in terms of sight seeing but honestly it's a great place to just unwind for a few days. PassApp is available - making it easy to get around, or you could rent a bicycle/ motorbike as its quite small.

we hired a great driver who took us to see rubber factory which was most unusual. He was a bit naughty in overcharging us for onward tickets, however due to time restraints we had little choice but to pay
This was my second visit to the hotel. My second stay was better than the first. Customer service from day and night staff was excellent. Quick and profesional check-in. My luggage was taken to my room by the outside Valet/security and the next morning the Valet/security picked up my luggage and loaded it into my car. The room was big and very comfortable with a fantastic view of Kampong Cham and the Mekong River. The air conditioning was very cold and the shower/bathtub water was very hot. Yes...a real western style bathtub.
The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The place was really peaceful and even though the hotel is 17 KM away from Kampong Cham there is plenty to do. You can relax by the pool or use their Lotus Hall for yoga. We borrowed bicycles to ride the village around the hotel and took a boat to see the sunset from the beach on one of the nearby islands. One night, the hotel staff invited us to create flower arrangements with them. That was a great opportunity to talk to the staff.
I had the most relaxing and enjoyable stay. Located in a quiet village not far from town, surrounded by beautiful views of nature.
Rooms were pleasant and had everything I needed for my stay. Bike rental was available to travel into town.
Mr. Tu is such a friendly and kind host! Very hospitable and recommended many places to visit in Kampong Cham. He is also a great cook!
Basic but clean and very affordable rooms in a beautiful and quiet surrounding. There was a nice balcony and a fan in the room. The host and his wife are lovely people and make a delicious breakfast and lovely vegetarian curry. You can get to the city center easily by tuktuk or within half an hour walking. We really enjoyed our stay there.
it’s located on the waterfront so our room had a lovely view. The hotel has two restaurants and bars. Breakfast was good. We both had a very nice omelette. The rooftop restaurant/bar is great in the evening with a nice breeze and fantastic views. The bed was large and very comfortable with nice linens. Staff was extremely helpful.
At Sunrise Villa you‘ll be staying with a very lovely Cambodian family who will make you feel at home in their house. They are very friendly and helpful and the food is delicious:)
good value for money and lots of smiles!
Rented a bicycle to go to Wat Nokor and Phno Pros and Srey and it was amazing, enjoyed this experience a lot!!
Large room, clean and comfortable. We hired a motorbike through the hotel which was good. It is in a local area a little bit out of town so you do need some form of transport. Owner was friendly, spoke french and limited english. Washing was available at the hotel. Morning market just outside the hotel is good.
The owner was really nice and friendly. He cooked great food for dinner and helped us book a bus to kampong Cham. We were also able to rent his bikes and use them to cycle around the town. It's the perfect place to unwind and experience rural life in Cambodia.
Also wasn't too bad with mosquitos.
This was a very nice hotel for the Kampong Cham area. Our room was large and had a great view of the river. The hotel appeared to be older and some of the furniture and finishes are quite worn. The bed was comfortable and seemed clean, the staff was very helpful and friendly.
Amazing structure in bamboo, designed with a great style. Many beautiful flowers and plants and trees and birds everywhere!
Yoga sessions at sunset and sunrise were stunning
Last but not least, the best customer care ever in Cambodia!
Absolutely exceeded expectations. Great food, host and beautiful surroundings. Simple rooms but exactly what I was looking for. Love Kampong Cham and love Natural Bungalows. Will come again soon. Don't hesitate to book here.
The rooms are quite large. Bikes are available for rent. Staff are friendly and helpful. It is outside of the city, but was in a lively market area anyway. Would definately come back again.
Clean room, nice facilities and a very helpful owner. Could rent a bike to go around town. The property is located around 2kms from Kampong Cham town. Really nice location in the countryside.
Sweet and very helpful family.
Clean, spacious and comfortable room.
Scooters and bicycles for rent at a very good price.
We stayed twice and would stay again if we come back to Cambodia.
An affordable choice for budget travel. Do not expect much from it, though.
A bit far from downtown, so you better consider it since the neighbourhood is not English-friendly.
The hotel location: the view of the Mekong river from the balcony was exceptional
The room was big and clean and the staff was friendly
Probably the best hotel in the area
The staff was really helpful and kind. Excellent value for price. It's a family run guesthouse so you get to see the everyday life of a Cambodian family.
