A laid back and restful little town, particularly outside of July and August. Safe, quiet and everything you need is right there in walking distance. Near countless beaches starting at less than a five minute drive. Great restaurants, shops, all you need.

Good base for exploring South Sardinia.
Good base for exploring South Sardinia. The beach & sand dunes of Porto Pino is only 30 mins drive. At night there are a lot of places to explore in the city center. The underground village is a must visit.
Be sure to have dinner at Il Tamarindo, best restaurant in the island

A busy, bustling town, Sant’Antioco is great for couples and families alike. The main thoroughfare is closed to cars at 8 pm and restaurants and cafes distribute tables and chairs for evening meals, drinks and ice cream. Children play up and down the street safely, whilst the adults socialise, shops remain open until around 10 pm and there is a general feeling of safety and conviviality throughout the centre of town.
My main criticism is that there are very few options for those who don’t eat fish and don’t wish to eat pizza every night.
Overall, Sant’Antioco is a charming and friendly town, but time your visit carefully as, over the last couple of days, we noticed the gradual slowing and closing down of amenities at the end of the holiday tourist season.

We loved an island and the city of Sant' Antioco.
We loved an island and the city of Sant' Antioco. Great beaches, history and food. Friendly people, but aggressive drivers. They should work on that. We tourists get lost from time to time also with navigation on. At the times we don't need angry local drivers to frustrate us with their inappropriate attitude. They should learn from Sicilians, which are fast but cool drivers. 😉
Plenty of parking spots (if you take into account of Zefiro), central location that's close enough to the road that takes you to the mainland Sardinia (perfect for traveling around the area). Best Restaurant in town is literally in front of the property. Breakfast is nice and abundant (with a nice touch of local sweets) and the owner is super friendly, talkative and has so many useful information to share! Owner's mum prepares the breakfast every day: she is such a lovely lady!
We were very happy with our stay at Casa Wendy...the host (and his wonderful mother) were always on hand, very attentive and helpful. Lovely property close to the centre made ideal for a short walk, or to travel to Calasetta (then Carloforte..you must visit)...or back to mainland Sardinia. Facilities in this property and terrace were ideal. Would highly recommend both the location and this property. Thanks Massimo...
The hotel and staff were excellent, Alex was very helpful and his english was very good, the hotel was very clean, also a short walk to restaurant and bars, although this town is very quiet, but restaurants get busy at night. The breakfast in the hotel had many choices and had some gluten free choices, and was constantly being topped up
The Cafe/bar was also very nice with food available and not expensive
A wonderful place with a soul, where comfort meets the beauty of nature. Apartments at the highest level, beautiful buildings, very well-kept facility, located in a beautiful part of Sardinia. I would highly recommend. We will return with fullness to places where the guest feels at home. Thank you.

- the qualitative best bed we had in Sardinia
- great additional cosmetic items (in case you forgot something)
- Owner was able to speak in German which was a great add on for us.
- best breakfast you will get in an accommodation!!!
Good, quiet location. Only a few km distance to very nice beaches. Very friendly dog that loves to be stroked. Grandfather of the owner delivered us some tomatoes, pears and zucchini, which was very niece of him.
Fantastic staff, the location of the hotel couldn’t be better, it was a very authentic italian hotel and was surprised about the great atmosphere at the coffee, whether it was morning coffee or late night drinks
Domo La Vela is in a perfect location to explore Sant’ Antioco and its beaches. Great cafés and bars are in easy walking distance. Parking at La Vela was easy. We loved our stay and wished we could stay longer.
Great location close to an excellent beach. Food in hotel very good value and wide selection at breakfast and in the evening. . Rooms were clean. Omero and his team were very welcoming !
