There are restraints nearby where you can eat delicious Pinchos, so it was quite easy to get to. It was incredibly quiet from night to morning. Yes, there was no noise at all. I never once felt like I was in an unsafe place.
Next time I'll try taking the bus.

San Sebastian is really a great city for views: you have 2 mountains accessible on foot with great views on the bay (concha), the city and the ocean. There is also nice architecture (Art Nouveau), a great basque history/art museum (San Telmo) and a maritime museum with an aquarium.
And there is a great beach for surfing (Zurriola). So on the boulevards you can see side by side a surfer with surfboard and a very smartly dressed couple walking toward the Kuursaal.

Parks and beaches are beautiful.
Parks and beaches are beautiful. Food at some bars and restaurants is phenomenally good! I didn’t have time to visit museums, but I expect they are up to the quality of other aspects of public life. And people on the street and in the bars seemed to be enjoying themselves a lot. (Although everyone seems to love a holiday weekend.)

The city is pretty and clean.
The city is pretty and clean. The food is excellent and varied leaning heavily to sea food. It is easy enough to walk around, there is taxi service for some of the attractions not downtown e.g. the stadium. Let me say, however, it is not as inexpensive as other places in Spain. Food can be pricey, especially some of the sampling meals in the restaurants. My Spanish is pretty okay, but, believe me Basque is not at all similar, fortunately, most menus, etc. are written in Spanish, French and English as well. The people are friendly and will work with you.

Beautiful city with amazing beaches, charming architecture, tons of amazing spots for pintxos, and a laid-back vibe. Public buses worked fine and there were taxis readily available during the day, but it's small enough to walk almost anywhere.

Loved San Sebastian and will return.
Loved San Sebastian and will return. Apartment was really well placed for the beach - pity we didn't see there was beach chairs till we were packing to leave. Very spacious and airy and good for drying clothes in the little courtyard - could have done with having some info leaflets about SS. We took a boat to the island and the atmosphere there was amazing - I would definitely recommend!
we had a very nice stay at la galleria.
It’s located very close to a dog friendly beach (our dog appreciated this very much after 12 hours in the car)
The staff was very friendly and helpful. we were lucky to get a parking space on the hotel’s premises (they are limited, first come first served) but as it was low season we got lucky!
The room was spotless and spacious with two windows. We have been travelling to Spain for years, and this will be one of our favourite stopovers from now on.
The BEST location possible! The hotel has an amazing bar/restaurant looking over the ocean, which is hard to find in San Sebastián. The room was beautifully decorated and perfect for what we needed. They even had towels we could take down to the beach. The front desk staff were so helpful giving us dinner recommendations and helping us book a taxi to the airport. We couldn’t have found a better hotel to stay at!
Great location for us. It was about 10 to 15 min walk to the old town and Beach of La Concha but also cafes, bars, and restaurants in the area near the hotel and especially just across the river. The room had a bunk bed (perfect for our children) and a queen bed (for us). It was a little tight but then again, that is what you expect from an economy hotel. It was clean. The bathroom was large with nice shower.
The hotel is brilliant and I couldn’t recommend it more. The hotel and rooms are very well decorated, and there were lots of lovely touches. The sauna/steam area is a great bonus and was easy to book. The hotel staff were all very helpful and gave lots of recommendations. The location was great too, opposite the cathedral and an easy walk to the beach or old town.
We love to stay at Room Mate hotels - very friendly, trendy boutique hotels. Rooms are spacious, beds comfortable and good amenities. Hotel is in a great location in the Old Town, in short walking distance to main sightseeing areas. In basement with no views, but breakfast buffet was excellent. We will certainly return here when we are next in San Sebastián.
The hotel is new, is well decorated but is too little far from downtown. I reserved here because was the only hotel in San Sebastián that included a pool, but when I arrived they said was no season for the pool. The staff very helpful and fully speaking more than 2 or 3 languages. The breakfast buffet was good, but if you stay more than 3 days is boring. Thanks
The location of this hotel is great if you're driving, not to mention on site parking. The staff is very helpful with making dinner arrangements and providing general information about the city. The bar/restaurant is a hit with locals as well as guests. It is an easy walk to Gros and about 15 minutes to San Sebastian center.
The location in the Old Town is good with access to bars, restaurants, shops, beaches literally on your doorstep. Good and comfortable apartment, we really appreciated the laundry facilities as we were travelling around Spain. Good communication with Idoia regarding ease of access to apartment and travel info provided
Nicely decorated hotel and rooms, spacious room with a comfortable bed and a good shower.
Very friendly staff.
Excellent parking garage, where you can park your car and go directly to your room with the elevator. Not all hotels in San Sebastián offer a parking garage.
The staff is very friendly, they showed us all their recommendations for things to do in the City, and were always very kind. You can easily get to San Sebastian/Donostia and Hendaia from the hotel (direct metro line). My sister and I definitely recommend this hotel!
The hotel has a modern boutique feel with historic elements preserved of the convent and is near the water front and Amelia (2 Michelin Star). Great hotel and staff and will return when in San Sebastián. 12-15 min walking distance of everything.
Very clean hotel and walkable to the beach . It's in a street with a lot of bars.. The service from the reception was excellent. The kitchen and dining areas are large with a lot of options . Over all an excellent place in San sebastian.
The location was a walking distance to really popular pintxo bars and restaurants. The hotel offered free flow hot water, with tea and coffee packets - this made Pension Iturriza my favourite accommodation of all the places in Spain.
The hotel location is excellent, close to beach and old town. Our room has a view of the beach and sea. Room has all the amenities I need - bathrobe, slippers, tea,
coffee, kettle etc I was able to borrow an umbrella for the rain.
The room was small but right in the middle of things. We loved the bells from the local church informing us the time. The hotel a person stays in can influence the feeling one gets from the city, and San Sebastian is a joy.
Very freindly staff. The Hotel is located right in the city center. Just a quick walk and you are in the old town. Very food breakfast with lot of options and live cooking station. Also the service was nice and freindly.
Modern, clean hotel about 15 mins walk from Old Town. Rooms were a good size, comfortable bed. Really enjoyed the breakfast options - lots to choose from. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
It’s our fifth time to San Sebastián and second time to this hotel. Rooms are new and very very nice. When we come again to San Sebastián we go to Gorka.
