The room with the stunning panoramic view was clean and comfortable. The food downstairs was very good and reasonably priced. Parking was easy and accessible. The center of town was a good 25 minute walk so we drove and parked in the central underground parking lot. Easy. Nice shops and the Porto del Sol is a beautiful park with another stunning view.

Santarem is a small city north of Lisbon which is non touristy with a small but pleasant old town with a maze of narrow streets and old churches.
the city park the Portas de Sol is a wonderful place to relax in the shade.
It is within the old fortifications on a high ridge with stunning views of the Tejo river below.
The city has good traditional restaurants which are popular and cheap but close by 10pm.
City is a good base for surrounding region and has good transport links in all directions.Lisbon is less than an hour by train and Evora is ninety minutes by bus.

Santarém is called the portuguese capital of Gothic style in Portugal. Wonderful tyles in the market and the railway station. Excellent meat and fruits. May be one of the hottest places in Portugal in Summer, almost 40° C.
I've not stayed in many hostels and I did stay in a private room but I thought that Villa Graca had much more of a feel of an upscale hotel than a hostel. The room was large and clean with a lovely view to the Graca church, staff were very friendly and helpful and it was nice to have a small common area to sit after check out whilst I was waiting for my bus. Breakfast was delivered in the morning in a nice little basket and they even made an effort to get it to me early so I could leave on the Camino. Thank you for a nice stay!
This place was amazing! I am waking the Camino and it was a little more expensive than other places I have booked but it really was worth it. It’s better in person than the pictures show. My room was so comfy, food was great and great portions, there were communal areas open around the property and everything was spotless. I would happily book this for a ‘regular’ holiday and it had all the facilities of a great boutique hotel.
I did not realize how remote and isolated the location was when I booked it. There is no where to go. It's not a good choice for someone without a car. I booked it only because there was no where else available in Santarem. I arrived hungry, without dinner and there is nothing around. The owners are extremely nice. They ordered a pizza for me. Nothing is in walking distance.
This hotel is an almost unique place to stay. Set in a rural location, just outside Santarem, it is in a beautifully appointed and converted former manorial farmhouse.
It is peaceful, has lovely gardens and a swimming pool.
The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful and the buffet breakfast was fresh and delicious.
The place is fine. It's cheap and clean and you can check in until 8pm.
It's about as good as you'll get in Santarem without going for a full hotel. If you want space, go elsewhere. If you want reliability, stay here.
There is also a kitchen with a large fridge and a microwave.
Rooms are cramped but functional.
Even tho i didnt know of Santarém, it still had many nice places to go to in the neighbourhood. The bakery in the streets of the little shops had the best Pastel de Nata. We went to a lot of other places/cities in Portugal but theirs was really the best.
Ana was very helpful. She was very accommodating and even offered to do our laundry. She gave us a map of Santarém and pointed out the highlights and restaurants. The location close to downtown and the train was great. We were very pleased.
Idyllic rural location. Totally quiet and peaceful. Lovely warm greeting from the manageress who took time out to show us round and make sure that we were settled in. There as also a pleasant restaurant within easy walking distance.

Wonderful and modern apartment, perfect for a stay in Santarém. We felt so welcomed and extended our stay by a night as we enjoyed ourselves so much. Couldn't ask for more.
