What a beautiful place! I have been home two weeks now and I'm still talking and picturing my stay at Ghar. Silvia and Luka are very cool and make you feel at home. They shared a lot of information and history of the Chianti area. Infact the stone farmhouse is built over a 900 years old watchtower. With the awesome view of the valley and mountains you can understand why the tower. During the day you see acre upon acre of vineyards and at knight you can see the home lights twinkle on the mountain sides like Christmas lights. The most fun I had besides drinking wine from the many vineyards was Driving the Mountain Roads! (sober). I rented a little fiat in Florence and drove to Ghar. Once yoy get off the A! tollway it is all vineyards and mountain roads the scenery was incredible.
