We stayed in the hotel for a week. The check-in process was easy and fast. Natalia was (Front desk) was extremely nice and helpful at all times. She remembered my name from the check-in process. She went the extra mile to help us when needed.
Breakfast was amazing. We loved the food. Great variety and everyone working at the restaurant was amazing.
We went to the beach and used their umbrellas and chairs, there was someone very nice working there and setting everything up for the guests. The beach was clean and there wasn't a lot of people there.
The pool was nice, big and not crowded at all.
There is a small mall a few minutes from there, you can either walk or ride a taxi there, with restaurants and shops. It is nice a very nice area.

I stayed in areas between the airport and Santa Marta.
I stayed in areas between the airport and Santa Marta. I am glad I didn’t stay in the city, it is big and dirty. But the surrounding areas I stayed in, Bello Horizonte and just south of Gaira, had lovely calm beaches.
The bus drivers were mostly very kind but a few of them must have had to pass a stupid test or were just plain mean, as I often was unclear as to where to get off, and some ignored requests for help.

So many homeless people defacating and urinating in every corner. Constantly bothered for money and food. During the nights approached by underage prostitutes in front of ineffective police. The cigarette sellers openly offer cocaine and other drugs and the noise from the bars competing with each other is just plain ridiculous. Extremely disappointed to find that all the beautiful pictures are of beaches only accessible by boats and 4WD vehicles meaning you pay through the nose to get to them.and get herded everywhere in groups. If you want natural beauty on the Caribbean… go to Tolu.

We were expecting a beautiful beach with sunbeds, but it didn´t look very appealing to spend time there, so we had to go to Rodadero instead, it is of course crowded there, but the beach is nicer. The service is unfortunately not better and we also couldn´t find sunbeds at the beach, just chairs and the price was exagerated

Santa marta is a nice place for a good vacation.
Santa marta is a nice place for a good vacation. It’s easily accessible with short connecting flights from bogota, Medellin and Panama City. The city is affordable and safe. Taxis are relatively cheap and safe making getting around easy.
The breakfast was delicious. Pancakes for a change from the usual Colombian breakfast. And there was lots of choices for breakfast, which was included in the price. The staff was helpful, booked our tickets to Cartagena with the company Marsol, which picked us up at the hostel, and dropped us off at our hotel in Cartagena. The bus ride went without any problems. The hostel is right in the middle of the old city, so we could walk around easily to all the sites and restaurants. Good relaxed vibes at the hostel.
Everything - the staff went above and beyond what anyone would want or need. The location was wonderful - close to great restaurants, including the restaurant and weekend happy hour the hotel offers. We look forward to going to Santa Marta in the future and will absolutely stay at the Hotel Boutique Marbore. If you want a great place to stay at in Santa Marta, do not hesitate to stay with them. You will not be disappointed. Andrew and Cristina.
The hotel is in the center ot Santa Marta, but it is quiet. The personnel is extremely helpful and nice. The rooms are very clean and well-equipped. My favourite detail was the high quality hair dryer. The shower has hot water and a good pressure. We were on our honey moon, after some hiking days we really enjoyed the comfortable room. I highly recommend this beautiful place to stay in Santa Marta.
We only stayed one night on our way to Cartegena, but would definitely recommend Casa Verde. Great location in Santa Marta, close to Parque de los Novios and lots of shops and restaurants. We arrived early, left our bags and came back at check in time to find our bags in our rooms.
Cute, old hotel in SM with helpful staff and a good breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.
This hotel is a wonderful place to stay in Santa Marta. In the old quarter on a safe-feeling street, it is close to many restaurants and bars but very quiet and secure. Staff are very helpful and breakfasts delicious. Nice little pool on the top floor to cool down in. Effective air conditioning, huge room, good WiFi. The best place we stayed in South America. Highly recommend.
Really beautiful building in the center of Santa Marta with well decorated and spacious rooms. The location is good with lots of nice restaurants around. The breakfast in the hotel was good too, especially considering the price per night. Lastly, the staff was friendly and helpful so we would recommend staying at la Casa Rosa if you’re in Santa Marta!
This small hotel is at a walking distance from the historic district of Santa Marta. It is unpretentious but decorated with taste.
Our room was clean and comfy. It had A/C, which was a plus given the high temperature outside.
The breakfast was good and filling.
The staff at the front desk were polite and helpful.
This was a highlight of our stay in Colombia! The hotel is owned by a lovely couple that went out of their way to make life easier for my friend and I. The night guard was also amazing. He helped us plan our trip and was always greeting us with a smile.
Breakfast was good as well and the rooftop was very pleasant.
This is a gorgeous boutique hotel just a short walk to the malecon in Santa Marta. Room was spacious, good air conditioning, comfortable bed, and large bathroom with nice amenities. Place has pool and hot tub. Excellent breakfast to start the day. Friendly and helpful staff.

El Cactus in Santa Marta continues to be our favorite hotel in Colombia and we stay here every time we are in the neighborhood. The staff is extremely attentive and friendly, go over the top for special occasions, and we love our rooftop suite.
After having travelled quite a bit around Colombia, I can say this hotel had one of the most comfortable beds we've had.
Nice breakfast and staff was accommodating to our early start. AC works perfect
One of the few business hotels that still offer a relatively fair price, Santa Marta away from the city center's noise. Nice views onto the shore from the rooms at the back side.
beautiful boutique hotel right in the historic center of Santa Marta. great location. lovely friendly staff! Jesus and Eliana went out of their way to make us feel comfortable!
Excellent staff, and great restaurant - most hotel restaurants tend to be mediocre. However, the food served here competes with anything else Santa Marta has to offer...
The staff at the hotel were great, and the hotel itself is in a great area, very close to the old part of Santa Marta, the hotel itself has a lot of character
beautiful houd in the old center of Santa Marta. Staff very kind! nice rooms and showers and very clean. the lady of the hotel is very, very nice and helpful!
