Beautiful location up in the mountains! Very romantic setting. If you need to rest and disconnect, this is the place to be. The staff is great and courteous. The breakfast was great and the restaurant in the evenings has great food and wine but if you’re staying more than 2-3 nights, you run out of choices.

The location and setting were fantastic as a winery and renovated abbey. Great views. Relaxing pool. Excellent food with delicious breakfast with fresh fruit and vegetables. Really enjoyed watching the Italian wedding that took place there during our stay. Great winery tour though Julia ran into the tour guy Paolo in Castelbuono and Taormina!

The staff were highly professional and always welcomed you with a smile asking us if we needed anything. The grounds were absolutely beautiful with creative decors and the pool area was first class. The breakfast offering had a variety of delicious selective options even for the most particular of tastes. The dining room was warm and comfortable offering a decent variety of choices for lunch or dinner. Unlike much of Sicily, the staff spoke excellent English and for us who knows a little Italian but certainly not fluent, it just made our communications with everyone much easier.

The building and grounds are lovely..well maintained, gardens are gorgeous, pool area is clean and inviting….this is an exceptional property from the outside. The rooms are clean and comfortable with nice linens and towels. If you are at all claustrophobic, ask for a room with a window for outside light and a view of the sea and not the courtyard, roof etc. The restaurant food is exceptional and the service was excellent, with one exception of a rude and dismissive waiter. Everyone else made up for him! The breakfast hours are generous, the choices good and the morning staff were lovely. Parking is available on the property.

The property is amazing! The drive up is scenic with lots of twisting & winding, so plan to eat at the restaurant on the property. There really is nothing close by anyway. The food was very good but, maybe a little on the high end for where. The wine was good too. Breakfast was included in our booking and it was a typical continental set up. We were able to eat outside by a small fountain. Our room was beautifully appointed, clean and comfy. Lots of short flights of steps with lots of landings to rest if needed.

Our proposed stay dropped out at short notice, and this was a 'in the right place, at the right price' choice. We both thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay, the Relais Abbazia Santa Anastasia has a lovely pousada feel to it with its ancient buildings and chapel. The restaurant was excellent and we had two delicious evening meals there = other restaurants learn, you dont need massives of choice, just a good selection of well considered diushes to select from. We were unable to visit the winery but the waiters helped make up for that in thier recommendations with the meals.

Everything was excellent. The restaurant is outstanding - just as well as there's nothing else available without driving. But the rural location and the peace and quiet are part of the attraction. We had the tasting menu paired with wines from the estate which was very good - a great treat perhaps for the end of a holiday. Lovely swimming pool too.
