It's a great city and perfect for a short break. There is not a whole lot of tourist attractions in terms of museums and activities but it's a lovely city to walk around and there are lots of nice places to eat. The mountain views are stunning.

This is a up and coming city and I urge travellers to visit now before it has hordes of tourists. The Albanian people were the friendliest we have ever encounter and I am gushing with praise for this country.

Lots to see and do. Not very disabled friendly, though. Safe and friendly all day and at night. Got bus to bus station (a patch of ground 5 miles from centre) then another bus to wonderful castle and village. If we'd had a couple more days would have got a bus to south and stayed there a bit. All public toilets clean and safe. Many food markets and best fleamarket I've been to in New Bazaar area. Fascinating communist history.JohnUnited Kingdom
