Amazing location. Great vibe. Slept like a baby. Wonderful pub downstairs with affordable drinks and amazing Thai food on the menu. Private entrance despite being above a pub. Nice and warm in winter with adjustable thermostat on the wall. Great amenities including a very nice coffee machine. Convenient private carpark behind. Rachel responded to all of our questions promptly.
The Rooms At Firecastle is set in Kildare's market square, overlooking St Brigid's Cathedral.

We were attending a concert in Dublin but did not want to pay Dublin hotel prices so Kildare and the Kildare House Hotel was perfect. We got the Green Bus from Kildare Village into the city center. The Kildare village Outlet was great for shopping the following morning.

Kildare is a small town, has lovely square with plenty of seating areas. Few shops, and nice cafe's with great food there. 10mins from the Shopping Village if you like shopping. Relaxing and friendly there. Would stay there again.

Silken Thomas is a lovely place to stay for a short visit to Kildare. It is in a great location and near to Kildare Village, Japanese Gardens and The Curragh Racing Course. I would be happy to stay there again but on arrival I would check for a bath plug and no dangerous chairs.

We loved Kildare and would recommend, unfortunately it was rather wet so restricted our walking but still enjoyed. The pubs were fabulous, very friendly people, wished it was our last port of call in Ireland instead of the first as there is a huge designer outlet complex and no room to carry all the purchases I would have liked to indulge in 🤪

The hotel is obviously being renovated, and looks nice but needs more attention. Very old premises, one of the rooms was in B the middle of an area with no window to the outside. I found my room cold during the night thought the duvet was not sufficient. The food left a lot to be desired, very poor, and pricey for the poor quality.
The view was great. The place is nice and close to Kildare town. It was very cold during our stay, but the heating worked really well. We were provided with pretty much everything we needed for our stay.
A gorgeous nest in the charming Kildare central square. Lovely design; great natural light in Room 6; secure, quiet and very clean. And great breakfast at the Firecastle store/cafe next door.
