If You have 24 hours in Kampong Cham, You should visit Wat Hanchey (20 km to the north), a nice Wat with great views over the Mekong.
Wat Nokor, a few kilometers west from town is an ancient temple, which is still in use today. It is more “real” and alive than other ancient sites in the country.
Visit the French Lighthouse at sunset: great views over the city’s skyline (open 24 hours, no entrance fee, but the stairs to the top are not suitable for people with fear of heights.)

It's very calm and relaxed compared to Phnom Penh and therefore makes for the perfect escape! There is enough to do with in terms of sight seeing but honestly it's a great place to just unwind for a few days. PassApp is available - making it easy to get around, or you could rent a bicycle/ motorbike as its quite small.

we hired a great driver who took us to see rubber factory which was most unusual. He was a bit naughty in overcharging us for onward tickets, however due to time restraints we had little choice but to pay
The family is very nice. The place is very quite, a little outside of the center, which was fine for me, and I rented a good bike from them for two dollars, on which I went to the island, Koh Paen. The breakfast, bread, omelet and coffee was good and included in the price of the room. I don't know what I could have expected more. Some roosters, but I don't mind them at all, I rather hear roosters than karaoke. And as a bonus, I had the rare opportunity to help the children review their Chinese, in Cambodian...
The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The place was really peaceful and even though the hotel is 17 KM away from Kampong Cham there is plenty to do. You can relax by the pool or use their Lotus Hall for yoga. We borrowed bicycles to ride the village around the hotel and took a boat to see the sunset from the beach on one of the nearby islands. One night, the hotel staff invited us to create flower arrangements with them. That was a great opportunity to talk to the staff.
Our best stay in Cambodia in 5 trips. Thol and his family are the perfect hosts who welcome you like old friends. The situation of the guest houe is perfect, peaceful and with an atmosphere of tranquility. The WiFi is great - you can work online comfortablly - and there is always an interesting traveller to meet and swap stories with. They rent bikes and bicycles and are full of recommendations of places to visit and eat. If you are looking to stay in Kampong Cham look no further!
I had the most relaxing and enjoyable stay. Located in a quiet village not far from town, surrounded by beautiful views of nature.
Rooms were pleasant and had everything I needed for my stay. Bike rental was available to travel into town.
Mr. Tu is such a friendly and kind host! Very hospitable and recommended many places to visit in Kampong Cham. He is also a great cook!
Large room, clean and comfortable. We hired a motorbike through the hotel which was good. It is in a local area a little bit out of town so you do need some form of transport. Owner was friendly, spoke french and limited english. Washing was available at the hotel. Morning market just outside the hotel is good.
This was a very nice hotel for the Kampong Cham area. Our room was large and had a great view of the river. The hotel appeared to be older and some of the furniture and finishes are quite worn. The bed was comfortable and seemed clean, the staff was very helpful and friendly.
Amazing structure in bamboo, designed with a great style. Many beautiful flowers and plants and trees and birds everywhere!
Yoga sessions at sunset and sunrise were stunning
Last but not least, the best customer care ever in Cambodia!
Absolutely exceeded expectations. Great food, host and beautiful surroundings. Simple rooms but exactly what I was looking for. Love Kampong Cham and love Natural Bungalows. Will come again soon. Don't hesitate to book here.
The rooms are quite large. Bikes are available for rent. Staff are friendly and helpful. It is outside of the city, but was in a lively market area anyway. Would definately come back again.
Clean room, nice facilities and a very helpful owner. Could rent a bike to go around town. The property is located around 2kms from Kampong Cham town. Really nice location in the countryside.
Sweet and very helpful family.
Clean, spacious and comfortable room.
Scooters and bicycles for rent at a very good price.
We stayed twice and would stay again if we come back to Cambodia.
The staff was really helpful and kind. Excellent value for price. It's a family run guesthouse so you get to see the everyday life of a Cambodian family.
