The property is wonderful, very nice location and well maintained. They had issue with the internet when I arrived but no biggie. They had delicious almost organic breakfast, must try if you stay at the property. The olives, olive oil, oranges and home made jam made by the missus.

The hotel is completely renovated and very modern and relaxing. We received a much better room than we booked with a beautiful view of the pool. The location of the hotel is excellent, in a quiet neighborhood by the coast, where there are wonderful walking paths to the city, which is a few minutes away by car. All the staff in the hotel is very very friendly, but we enjoyed our breakfasts the most, which are a real treat in this hotel, tasty and visually beautiful. We will definitely return to the hotel and highly recommend it, as it is very reasonably priced for what it offers.

I travelled alone. I'd never been here before. I liked that it wasn't over commercialised. Weather was amazing (October) There was everything that was needed at this resort. I.e. supermarkets. Lots of tavernas/eating places to pick from, I.e Farmers House, Golden Bay Hotel restaurant with stunning sunset views. 4 local beaches. An excursions train.. Good, regular bus service into Chania (21) Was literally, end of season, so tourists were clearly abit sparce, but not any of the hospitality in the restaurants. All accessible to the locality of this resort. I was happy with my choice of resort.

Close enough to Chania that we could drive in 20 minutes, quiet area and family friendly. The nearby beaches make this a great location to stop and rest and plan the remaining trip around the island particularly if you are visiting the west coast and central Crete.

Great area close t the city.
Great area close t the city. A great mix if you want the beach not to crowded and small but at the same time close to the ngihtlife of the Chania.
The 3 beaches are close to each other and a bit different between each other, so each of them is kind of particular. The beach is sandy and the water is transparent. One of the best we found on the island.

The various beaches are all very clean with enough space for those who don’t want a sun bed. The surrounding area is beautiful and it’s a 4Km walk along the coast to Chania. Busses also run frequently into town.
The staff were all absolutely wonderful and did everything they could to make our stay really lovely. They were brilliant with our children (1 &3) and made us feel welcome and at home. The children's playground was fun for them and the hotel is a very short walk from 3 excellent and family friendly beaches. The bus was easy to get to Chania and only took 10 mins - there was plenty of space for our double pram.
The hotel arranged, airport taxis, trips and car hire for us and all were really well organised.
- Very friendly staff who did their best to accommodate us.
- Clean apartment with good air conditioning.
- Daily housekeeping with clean towels.
- Decent restaurant for a “hotel restaurant” with friendly waitstaff
- Nice pool area at Stellina Royal which, at the time of our stay, was not busy at all (unlike the other 2 pools at Stellina Village). This made for some very relaxing times in what felt like a private pool. Pool towels were provided.
We were made very welcome. The family that ran the hotel couldn't do enough for you. The food and drinks were excellent and always served with a smile. Our studio was at the top of the hotel with an excellent view, it was very spacious and clean. The bus stop into Chania a short walk. The pool and pool area easily accessible with plenty of sun beds. We had the best of times and left feeling we had made friends and will definitely be returning.
Great service, very helpful and friendly staff. The pool is huge and they serve a variety of food and snacks in the poolbar. The area is also great, close to Chania and bus-stop to Platanias. Short walk to the beach, but was quite windy when we visited. There is a supermarket and a beachbar nearby as well. The room and terrace was nice and we enjoyed our stay here. The hotel also has a lot of beautiful plants and flowers everywhere.
At first you fall inlove with the place, then you fall for the people.
This was our top hotel for the honeymoon, and our only regret is we didn't stay longer.
The rooms are the cleanest I've seen, and the whole outside area is being connstantly cleaned. The breakfast (which changes every few days) is the most awesome possible with multiple choices, and events like 'the greek night' was amazing!
Everything. The location, the view from our room, the fact that is was quiet, the proximity to the beach (just in front of the hotel), the pool and the cleanliness. Room service was offered every day except Sundays. Staff at the hotel restaurant eas extremely nice, they even offered our son a bag of bio mandarines one night. We highly recommend it and can't wait to be back again!!!
Great location, close to supermarkets, beaches and bus stop for Chania.
Lovely pool area, some shade from the many olive trees.
Staff helpful and friendly.
Apartment and kitchen facilities good.
Effective air conditioning and a safe in room.
Quiet and peaceful at night.
Cleaned regularly, fresh sheets and towels.
Our second visit to Elea and our fourth to the Kato Daratso area
Looking more like a maze of rooms, water and green your experience might be different depending on what room you get or in what part of the complex and also what your looking for. For a place to sleep, eat and relax between days of exploring south Crete this was perfect. Close to stores, public transport, beaches and with a nice little kitchen it was exactly what we needed.
Super clean spacious rooms, very well organized hotel management. The owner very polite and extremely helpful and friendly. The pool clean and big enough. The location is strategic, near to Chania downtown and Old Port and near to beaches and 30min easy drive to Kissamos. Definitely will be our first choice in future Chania stays. Thank you Katerina for everything!
We enjoyed our time spent at Barbara's apartments. The stuff is very friendly sharing some ideas to make the holidays at Crete even better.
Indeed, the apartments are located uphill and it's quite a steep climb, but the view is fascinating.
It takes about 10-15 minutes walking to the beach and about 10 minutes to the supermarket or the café/restaurant
Very well located in a calm spot, a few steps from the beach. The building looks new, everything sparkling clean, and a pool that is a clever touch for an after day by the sea. And the everyone in the staff team is very welcoming, always smiling and helpful. Fantastic stay in Crete!
Exceptional service by the personnel, we really apprecited it. Alex, Kriakos, the lady at the reception, they were definitely the most welcoming hosts we had ever known. I would recommend this place to anyone considering to visit Crete.
The hotel and grounds were beautiful, and the staff were very nice. I liked how clean it was, and it wasnt very noisy. Their breakfast bar wasnt great, but there's so many options for breakfast in the area it wasnt a big issue.
The apartment was great! we didn’t live the hotel a lot, because we were all the time around Crete, but the position was nice, the apartment clean and warming, and the staff was so great and welcoming! I loved this place
Lovely hotel, lovely room, x2 pools, plenty of sunbed space, friendly and helpful staff, great food and drinks/cocktails. Live music event was great. Easy to get into and back from Chania if you want to.
Excellent value for money. Room cleaned daily. Three beaches within walking distance. Markets and restaurants nearby. I would be happy to stay again at calypso hotel apartments.
Location is great (close to Chania and the nearby beach is nice) and the hotel looks really wonderful. The staff is very nice, rooms are clean and modern.
